Anybody else HATE these things??

They get lodged and stick to everything and fall out all over the place when you are unpacking boxes.

I can't take it anymore, today i went to the back yard to check on my pool equipment and found this.
I had a box stashed in the side yard from a monitor that was shipped and the wind blew it open last night and shot these stupid things EVERYWHERE!

With all the pollution down there , I guess you could call that LA snow .

Too bad they aren't the starch kind that melt with water. You could just hose them down.
I would get out the shop vac for that.

You left a box outside with packing peanuts in it?

Hm....

I bag my peanuts in garbage bags and keep them safely indoors (in my attic, actually).

They are a pain, but they do work well for filling space without adding weight.

I like the ones made of rice flour that dissolve if they get spilled around outside. They are also better for not having the static charge build up on them and are no worries if your pet get's into them, (my little Basinji loves to try and eat the styrofoam ones:aargh4:).

I am totally 4 having these little things in packaging since I have seen so much stuff damaged during shipment. Yeah it sucks to have to pick up these little buggers up from your lawn, but much better than picking up shards of glass from a broken monitor during shipment that UPS or USPS will not refund to you.

Man, I was just going to say the SAME thing. I like the starch ones. They just disappear and only cost a little more..

Get out your leaf blow and blow them into your neighbors yard! :D

NOOOOOOOOO !!!!!!!!

i learned not to put these in the trash can loose if you have a trash service that picks up your can and dumps it over the top of the truck... yea... when you do that any day with even the slightest wind your asking for trouble.

Normally I save them but when i get more than a trash bag full i start getting rid of them. Due to the above situation I now bag the peanuts tightly (sometimes double bagging) before disposing.

They are annoying as hell, especially when a seller packs 1 or many boards in them without putting something between to keep the two separate (some packing nuts are better than others but both suck if there's no protection to a board ect...).
