It's time for another round of name that PCB!

Down to the dregs of the unidentified PCBs we have, but this one's a doozy. Two boards, one with 14 roms, one with 5, connected by two ribbon cables. The only hint of any identification on them is a small daughter board labeled HSD-12 SUB. The main board is divided into three parts by a dotted line. Could be bootleg, but has a sticker saying No 0211 on it, which seems off for bootleg. Still, it was right next to a "Taimu Paylot" board when I found it. Anyone know what it is?

looks very bootleg to me.

If you have a ROM burner you can find out what that might be using ROMIDENT.

22 pin pcb, separate header on the main pcb and connector names R and S in white boxes remind me of Taito classic pcbs. That is as far I can go... the header has less pins that the Taito classic pinout however, so I could be wrong. Definitely a bootleg.

Dual 4Mhz Z80's (one on each board). What is the part number from the two audio chips on the main board? AY-3-xxxx? Are they 8910's?

I'm guessing a 1984, or maybe 1985 timeframe, based upon what I'm seeing...

Looks like the sound chips are indeed 3-8910. I don't think it's a Bouncer, because it doesn't look like the Turbo Sub PCB. It also has too small PROMs, being only 32s and not 256s. Can't get a picture of the pcb for Bouncer, though. We were a big enough operator to get sample pins, so Bouncer is at least plausible.

I didn't know about Romident, that's really useful. To compound the mystery, the rom is identified as being either from a Birdie King or Birdie King II. But we've got both of those, and the PCB looks like neither. Bootleg Birdie King? Must be. Found a picture at http://www.holidays.net/mardigras//...-Board-Pcb-Boardset-Working_273023060306.html that has the same PCB. Huh. Kind of was hoping it'd be something a bit more interesting.

Bootleg Big Event Golf / Birdie King * -- they're all essentially the same hardware.

Strip off the socketed chips and trash the rest :)
