Back in February of 2004, I picked up an Addams Family. It was the resident crowd-pleaser of my collection for eight years, and my wife's favorite game (and mine too, of my pins).

I was jonesing for a Monster Bash in March of 2012, so I had to let The Addams Family go in order to corral funds. I picked up a gorgeous Monster Bash, which to this day remains my absolute favorite pin; but I've always missed TAF.

Fast forward to last month, when an additional Monster Bash dropped right in my lap at a price I'd be a fool to pass up. I thought it would be cool to bring things full circle by selling THIS Monster Bash to get a really nice Addams. Seshpilot had a very nice one for sale, and we were able to strike a deal.

It's always a nice day when one of these pulls up to your house:

The game was in excellent condition as-is, but I did add some stuff: a color DMD, mirror blades, some additional lighting, and I changed up the LED scheme just a little.

After finishing up the mods, I moved it into the game room, where I think it'll remain for good this time around:

My downstairs game room is now all pins. I've got two vids in my pirate bar, which is about 30 feet away, plus another 8 vids and one more pin upstairs.

Someone on Pinside asked me about this, so I thought I'd post clarification about it here as well. In a strange coincidence, every photo I took of the game after installing the color DMD happens to be when it's displaying something blue. I have it running full color, and it looks awesome.

Looks amazing! I'm also trying to do a horror theme in my home arcade and this is the only pinball machine I want, but as the years go by and the prices go up, looks like I'll have to live vicariously though these posts.

Thanks, and good luck!

Here's a tip that could help out: when doing searches on ebay/craigslist, try spelling it wrong. I scored my first TAF for $2200 (IIRC) because the seller spelled it as "The Adams Family."

LOL, I got mine very recently for $4500 because the guy listed it as "pin ball" rather than "pinball". It was buried in a search with a bunch of trailer hitches. :)
