It's only been 45 days. Man this is addictive!

Round out your collection.. ROFL. You'll have a dozens machines in that
room by the new year.

Welcome to KLOV of course:)

It's an addiction trust me. Now the pacman series of games are fun but there are vector type games like lunar lander, battlezone, asteroids just to name a few. Track ball game like marble madness and Missle command.

Can you tell the List goes on and on and we haven't even talked about Laser disk games, Mutil game platforms Like neo geo or player 10.. Mutli player games two player and 4 player games.

Lots of games you can chase down from the ones you need to rebuilt from top to bottem ( Yes, I saw your red cab. Well painted.) Not only there the fun of collecting but the fun of meeting fellow collectors.

Amazing hobby.. Welcome to your new addiction.. enjoy.

+1 on that. I see way to much paint when I see the walls. A year ago I started with 1 from an auction and now Im up to 20 or so games. It's so fun!

I feel your pain. I bought my first machine at the end of September last year, and since I have bought 13 (and still have 10)

Hello,

Hello, im new here and new to collecting. I started aug 4 2010.. I now have 17 machines.yep!! Id say its addictive!!!

You'll soon find yourself getting ticked at other kovers who are faster than you to reply to craigslist ads.

You will learn strange acronyms...

You'll buy a soldering iron and security set.

You will know who repairs pacman boards..

you discover that you have you have a holy grail.

Women from all over the world will lust after you because of your huge collection of games.

By the way that super pac is in awesome shape. Nice pickup.

Shhhhhhhhhhhhh!

If too many guys realize this unspoken benefit to arcade collecting then it will drive up demand AND prices for games. We have to remember this wonderful secret and quietly, and humbly, keep it to ourselves.

Off too a good start... I think the year mark is usually the litmus test.

I think after the first year I had... 8'sh? I don't think I really got much of anything new in the past year'sh... But I'm up to about 18 now (pretty bad when you lose count). There's also I jukebox in the mix as well as a couple project machines (Galaxian, Stargate, TMNT, and a Cherry Master)... as well as a stack of boards I swap in and out of the Taito.

4 of those cabs aren't here in the house, and the TMNT project is on the carport... but the rest are all in my living room... well, what used to be my living room. Can't really do much of anything in there now because there's no room to actually sit down anymore... Had to move the table in the kitchen so I could put some cabinets in there... and had to move the couch out of the way in the living room, and a couple of chairs... and a couple of end tables... and I can't get to any of the cabinets anymore... the doorway is partially blocked by a machine... ... so, yeah. And I got a call today about a possible lead on a free Pole Position sitdown (which I don't even think I can actually get inside).

Anywho, yeah... it's a little addicting. But if you've got the room for it and an understanding wife (odds of having both of them? Slim... warm up that "wah-wah" switch). Anywho, if you have both then you're golden.

Welcome man!
Very nice collection, don't forget some wall art!!

On another topic, as I am one who had to add beams and posts in an otherwise unobstructed garage, do not forget about weight on a second story room!
That juke looks like a 600 pounder, games run about 250-300lbs each.
Add people and you have a heck of a weight load!!!

Anyway, I've had 1-2 games since the 80's, but once I created a dedicated room, it exploded into 20+ vids and 3 pins along with changer and tokens. :D

Not an addict here (smirk)

I started back in 08 with a Ms. PacMan I found on Craigslist. Not the real game I wanted (Galaga) but it was at a good price.

Then...I wanted more.

Then, a couple months later, came the Gauntlet Legends and the Megatouch 6000 XL. Wouldn't it be grand, I thought, to have a showcase cab Gauntlet turned into a MAME?

And...I still wanted more.

A few months later, I bought the Twilight Zone. Badda Bing! Holy crap, a whole new rush - a pinball.

And...I wanted more and more.

A fooseball, a dartboard, a..., a....., a.... - I wanted MORE!

I just need to figure out how to get the wife to understand. She sees little value and demands the buying to stop. All I can think of is when and how to build the additional dedicated Game Room to fit all the games that I want more...

C'mon!
We all know games outlast wives.
Mine did. At least 3 of them...
wives that is.....;)

You have been warned. Ha!
Enjoy your new hobby!
