It's Official! My first arcade related injury....ouch!

God dammit that wife of mine. Always nagging...And I have only been married for 6 months!! I was in the basement working on my Wizard of Wor Cab and rested the control panel on the edge of the cab. My wife called down to me and I turned to yell back and the Wizard of Wor panel came crashing down into my BARE foot! Oh man...The blood! It was pouring out like water flowing out of a tap. I put pressure on it but there was no question about it....I had to go to the ER. When I explained to the doctor how I got the injury, she looked at me like I had three heads. Anyway, the moral of the story is....Don't be lazy like me. Wear shoes when working around cabs! 3 juicy stitches for my laziness...Ughhh!

I haven't have to get any stitches on the bottom half of my body (but plenty on top half).
My mom accidentally broke a window on a screen/glass door and a piece landed on her foot and she needed 6 stitches and had some nerve damage. She cam barely feel anything on the outermost 3 toes (forgot which foot). So you are kind of pretty lucky in this instance. Hell, you could've broken a bone also....

damn you are a bleeder :) Few days ago, i used my leg to catch 25' monitor, it left a gash and a nice lump.. it hurt!, lol.. but I kept on working. Somehow I blamed the wife for it happening too :)

Sorry to hear, man, that really sucks.

Thanks for the pics, so we know it really happened, too! :D Ugh.

I work barefoot on dangerous stuff alla time... Hmmm... Might just have to learn from your situation...

Ouch! I probably would just stuck a couple butterflies on it but then again I'm convinced hospitals are a breeding ground for disease. :p

I have had enough near miss bare foot injuries to just make sure to have shoes on though, boots might be a better idea though since anything heavy and sharp landing on even a shoe would hurt like a mofo.

as long as Cliff Hanger is free from blood spatter, things will be okay.

Mylstar had something similar happen to him while working on a Juno First. Control panel came crashing down and he was wearing Teeva sandals.

See, the game IS evil, and it'll be at CAX with the panel that ate Mylstar's foot skin.

I hope it heals well for you. I'm also glad you told us it was your foot because I thought it was the inside of your arm for a moment.

Sliced my foot wide open the other night on the corner of a monitor chasis! It was all the way to the deep meat, not a lot of blood, I shoulda got stitches but there overated! Anyways mine is healing well with band-aid changes twice a day and neosporian.

I cut my hand open one time while working at my fathers store. I had to hold the skin closed, because it kept wanting to pop open and bleed. And I remeber I could even see my bones and veins. Well I went to the ER, got it all stitched up. The wierdest part, is returning back to where it happened and looking at your blood all over the place. And for me, seeing the razor that I cut myself with laying there on the ground with blood on it.

I got the creeps typing this, remebering that ordeal.

Anyway, hope you feel better.

Ouchie! Been there, done that. I have a med condition because of botched surgery in my right leg, so any cut is nasty...paper cut can bled for a while. Rather thin skined. Dropped a cp on my leg last year...bled for 3 days.

Remember, cuts heal, glory fades, but the chicks dig it!

Nice one!

I walked off the back of a dock high truck backwards and pulled a MsPac/Galaga down on top of me once. Need something like 18 staples in the head! Good times...

Yeah, I wish I had pictures. That was bad ass! To make it even more cool it was the day before Halloween. I wasnt able to wash my head the night before so I had this blood soaked head with fresh wounds and staples.

My leg still shows signs of the injury and this happened around 6 years ago.

I am super lucky. The doctor thought I could have broken some bones. He was contorting my food in every which direction to make sure I hadn't. She still thought I was nuts for collecting arcades. If only knew about the disease...

I bleed like a bitch! catching a 25" with your foot? Maybe I should have you come over to install my 27" in my Zombie Revenge cab. I will stand clear....unreal.
