Thanks to 7146aaron and his excellent transportation arrangements I'm officially a member of the KLOV pinheads! My Amazing spiderman pin was delivered today and I'm pretty excited to have it. It took on some water damage that messed up a corner pretty badly. I'm still deciding what steps to take to stabalize it from eroding the wood any farther.

As usual pics or it didn't happen:

Here are the rest in a slide show...i'm too tired to embed them all.

i'm excited to dig into it and bring it back amongst the living pins. I wonder how many of these are left. How many of you own an amazing spiderman?

Anyone have a incredible hulk project they want to sell? =)

my friend has 2 spidy's, both projects, he hopes to bring one back, both have cab damage, one is hopefully a katrina survivor, neither really had boards,

Wow, the backglass and playfield look great! Too bad about the cab though. That'll be some work. Sound might lack but looks awesome and I'm sure it's a fun game. I wish I had room for a Gottlieb Spidey but I'm maxing my System 80s to two.

Congrats!

... but understand that pins get lonely real fast. I hope you have room for more.

Thanks guys! I was really surprised at how well the rest of the machine held up. I've seen a few and they were thrashed. Aaron's dad told me that the seller had stated that it was pulled off route and put into storage in 1985. I found two Ill. OP license tags that pretty much proved it as well. They stated paid for through July XX,1985.

It also had a minty manual tucked inside.

I had tried previously to buy one that was found down in the New Orleans area. It may be the one you are referring to. I tried to buy just the backglass once I figured out how much shipping would have been to bring it back up this way. Well that and how much money it would have taken to bring that one back to life. The seller then decided not to part with it.

I'm glad he did because this one is not nearly as far gone as that project spidey was.

Let see some more spidey pin pics! Has anyone put Led lights into this particular pin?

it probably is the same one, he got 4 pins from the guy , all in poor shape, be glad you didnt buy it:(

That would be a neighbors bulldog. He comes around from time to time. Yeah it will be a lot of work but that is always half the fun isn't it?

welcome fellow pinhead !

home depot sells "wood hardener" for 7 bucks a can or whatever that has helped me out in certain situations

it goes on like water but hardens up real good. i like it

whats your next pin gonna be ? one just looks too lonely sittin' there all by itself

always wanted a SPIDERMAN. someday i'll rescue one and restore it, i know/hope !

Theres a nice one in the STL for sale along with a HULK. Both are fantastic looking. I seen them both in person the other day. I think they are around $700 a piece.
