This last auction I bought a Lax Rotary full size with 4 spots. One of the spots "#1" didn't want to work. I took the arm off as I was going to swap out the plastic piece below thinking it was something besides just a plastic piece. I then notice fuses for each station. I check the first one and it is burned out. I swap two in and it still doesn't work. Putting one in two causes two not to work. I then put two back and it works. I try 1 one more time but this time with the fuse from four. And bam it works. Now to go get a fuse. I love easy fixes.

Only paid 20 + fees for the machine. Need to get some prize cases to put in there. It only has 2 at the moment.

Anyone know how to cut off a lock bar? The last one I used my saw saw but I can't get to this one as it is so close to the machine. The lock has a cover over it so I can't just cut it.

Cut clear though the cover with a grinder.

Do you have access through the back? I cut the bolts off from the inside.

What is a "saw saw" exactly?

Herp, derp. I'm so damn funny. I know.

i think saw saw is the brother of see saw.

all jokes aside, this is probably the third time a game has ever been gotten that has really just needed a fuse...

Yes a Sawsall.

Game has no back as it is round and had players on all sides. Not sure how you would get to the inside to work on the game. I can raise the top up to add prizes.

I could use a grinder if I had one. Don't want to buy one just for this. Might do a CL ad and pay someone 15 to take it off. Could be tokens in there as it was in a Namco arcade. The other coin box which is long had 3 tokens in it but it wasn't locked. If I have a party and have every thing on tokens I need to be able to get the tokens out.

I got a "Broken" game that just needed the switch flipped (was a converted Defender, and the switch below the control panel was off).

Almost like a fuse :D

That's exactly what was 'wrong' with my $150 non-working Pac-Man, as well. ;)

Yep, I got a $50 Ms. Pac that just needed a fuse. Funny thing is that the guy who sold it was a collector and he had tried replacing the boards, replacing chips, etc. I found the fuse in about 3 minutes after I moved it into my house. It looked like it was good, but tested bad.

I scored a Double Dragon at an auction for $20. Sure enough, it was just a blown fuse. Also found a machine with a bad interlock switch thingy, got it for $75. I think it was a Gate of Doom?

Had the same thing about 10 years ago. Bought a Lee Travino Golf non working at an auction in Indy for $1. It was just a bad fuse. After it was fixed I gutted it and gave the cab away for free. That is one terrible golf game!
