It's happening! k7000 19" to 13" :)

shame on you Matt get on the TPG list...;) try swapping the transistors and see if the problem moves to another color. remember there are color transistors on the main pcb and the neck pcb. did you reflow the input header pins?

Yeah I reflowed the input headers but what transistors do I swap the neck transistors or the main pcb ones? Also I noticed the 3bp caps are still original and one of them is in the green circuit you think that could cause an issue?

yes change the bi polars. you may have to try swapping both main and neck transistors.(do only main or neck first and if no effect then the other). if you have a tester i would first test your suspect cap or just replace them if you have them and try it.

The transistors on the main pcb are the little ones near the input headers? There are 3 there right?

If your sure your completely missing a color and all 6 transistors are good and there are no broken pots on the neck board. Its probably going to be IC1.

Yeah so I just swapped q2 (green) and q3 (blue) now greens back in business and blue is doing what green did. So luckily my radio shack has these things for like a buck. I'll replace all 3 for good measure but yeah issue solved. I knew it wasn't the neck xisters because I had green just it wasn't coming in on the image. I'll replace these tomorrow because I got homecoming tonight ;) But yeah whew crisis averted.

Good news I fixed it with those 2n3904's. The q2 originally the bad one was shorted on one leg so there you go. If you are missing a color from the image not the monitor guys check your q1 q2 and q3's. Also putting a 19" chassis is possible without changing any parts as long as your yoke is about 1 ohm up on each like a real 13" chassis. The extra ohm shrinks the image. Awesome not to hard fixes just frustrating. And dont get zapped :)

i have the yoke connector and degauss kits in stock.

you should have ordered them.

you need to undo that mess with soldering them to the posts.

otherwise great job fixing your color problem.

Peace

The problem is now I have this thing all put together and the only way to remove it is with the tube and I'm too lazy. It's working now idk the issue?
