It's expensive but have any of you guys used this?

Well for what its worth it is an AR(anti reflecting) coating that they are using .Its the same princaple that is used on eyeglasses and high end watches .Its not cheap to do by far.I have had one of my watches done with a AR coating and it cost me $100 .Its not cheap, but the difference is amazing!! IT really is like there is no glass at all. The price seems very expensive plus where does that ship from.I dont know but maybe you can call around to some glass companies and see what they quote you to do a AR coating to your current pinball glass.Just a thought.PEACE!!

It's supposed to be super glare resistant optical double coated glass. I've got a few pins that have bad glare and drive me crazy.
Here's the link.

Anybody using it? If so is it worth it?

It is so non-reflective that it looks like there's no glass at all. You really have to look for it. Likewise, it would probably be a very bad idea to bring it to a show as people will literally try to reach through it and smack their hand.

I would say it is worth it for a really nice game that you spent 3k+ on, that has cool mods, LEDs, clearcoat, etc. But some games, particularly EMs, can be had for the price of the glass itself! Probably not worth it in that case...

Thanks for the responses guys. So, Jcasetnl, it sounds like you've used it. Are the results really that noticeable? I'm really curious. Do you happen to have any pics of pins with the glass in them?

I use a product called Plexus. spray it on, does same thing. We use it for the plastic light covers on our cars at work. It's maybe more for plastic, but works great on pinball glass, fills the micro scratches, nice. Literally it can make a scratched, faded piece of plastic look clear and new in 2.5 seconds, give or take .47

There was a thread about this 2-3 months ago. Too lazy to search for it. This stuff is nothing short of amazing. The pics on the site, and the youtube videos clearly show just how "invisible" it really is not too mention how it makes the playfield colors deep/rich and pop. I so badly want a sheet for every game I own but alas ... that $300 price tag is flat out ridiculous. There have been numerous discussion on RGP about this and everyone feels the same way ... wicked cool ..... absurdly priced.

Ken Layton mentioned a glass shop should carry this optical glass. I called 5 different local shops and the only optical glass they carry is for picture frames and the glass is uber thin ... so no go.

you really should try the Plexus. for example, I can take a foggy looking piece of play field plastic. The foggy is partly caused by scratches i think. I do a quick spray of Plexus on it, and it is crystal clear. look at the Plexus website to see how it works. It is amazing...... Do I sound like a commercial?

I just use the Glare Guards to block the DMD glare on the upper part of the playfield...that makes a huge difference, IMO, and it's pretty cheap. That's the only glare that's ever bothered me.

I've played a few games with that glass, it's great! No glare, no darkening of the playfield, really amazing. The price of admission is a bit much for me but if you can afford it it's really great stuff!

I think the product looks neat, but I have to say, I have never been bothered by glare on pinball glass on my home games, I just set the light on the room to be comfortable. Low light back behind the player, nothing bright and nothing aimed at the games. Works great.

Some Stern's are an exception because the translight is too bright, but that's easily fixed also.

Used to use plexus on my paintball goggles all the time...... that stuff is fantastic. Never thought to use it on pinball glass, I wonder if I still have any?

I've played a few machines with that glass installed and it is indeed incredible. I wouldn't hesitate to put it on all my machines if I had more money to dedicate to the hobby.

I haven't used it personally, just seen it. And yeah, in the right situation I would definitely say it is worth it. It not only improves gameplay via less glare but it just makes all the good features, mods, lights, etc. really pop. You can really see the sheen of the wax.

Likewise, you can really see the dirt, mylar seems and imperfections too, but I think the people who would put this on a game are probably pretty on top of those things...
