They raised the price on it used to be $300 when I saw it on CL last year from what I remember it was made that size for their kids to play it.

I guess good effort, but maybe a step stool would have sufficed? :)

I almost wish I could get it for parts and put that cab out if its misery.
 
I remember reading that carnivals would cut cabs and put them on the bed of a trailer. So they would be the right height...

It's too bad that a large majority of sellers think that collectors (of anything) want something different or modified,when in reality they usually want something exactly as they remember it. Silly sellers! :rolleyes:

I remember buying a Galaga cabaret, and getting an offer from the seller to 60-in-1 it. When I told him I just wanted the original Galaga board, he was incredulous to the max. He just didn't get it.

Of course, to him it was "More games, more reliable hardware", etc. Good news is that, based on the tone of his voice, I think a lot of buyers had come back to him with the same response. They can be taught. :D

If they were cutting cabs like this, I wonder how people were able to pay... It seems like you would lose the coin door and coin box in this scenario.
