Less than a month ago I took over a storage unit that had 4 junk games, 3 jukeboxes, a pinball and assorted other crap. All I had to do was pay 59 for the first month and move everything out befpre the next month. The following events followed that I though were cool.
I sold one of the games for $15 to a guy who use to work for Walgreens as a pharmacist which is cool since I work for Walgreen's. He now works for Kroger which I love supermarkets and Kroger being in my top 3.
One of the barrels which had assorted electronic junk had a old business card Chuck E Cheese's Pizza Time Theatre (Old Logo) Some ladies name Manager Electronic Theathre Restraunts (Licensee) Address for Houston, TX. I thought that was pretty coool. If I don't trade it off I am going to frame to hang in the game room.
I listed my 3 Juke boxes on CL for 100 each OBO. Had a guy email fairly quickly after listing them asking if I would take $200. I said sure and told him my days off were Friday and Saturday. So he comes down Friday to pick them up. We talked for quite a while. He only recently got into Juke boxes and with mine has 14 now. He mentioned he was a auto mechanic so I mentioned my VW Bug. He said he specializes in VW's and hands me his business card "Classic VW Service". From talking about my car he says it's a Autostick isn't it? I go yep. He said he used to work on them because no one else would. I then mention I had a 82 Ford Courier and he goes after I left VW of America (Worked there 15 years) he worked at Nissian for a year then Mazda and had worked on the B series truck AKA Ford Courier. I told him if I bring my bug down I would have him look at it and also have him look at my truck. My current mechanic charges $85 a hour verus this guy $50.
Just thought I would share. Werid how such a small world it is.
Thanks Steven
