To take this rating system seriously you have to be able to give honest reviews.. Have you actually given a neg?
Just checking.... I gave my first neg today, but should have given a good 5 or so in the last few months. Im not a fan of people posting "want ads", making an offer then never coming through.

I looked at the thread you linked the neg to and I don't see enough there to warrant what you did. Why are people not able to post in the 'wanted' section and then decide not to purchase what you offer?

Did he agree to a sale and then back out? Maybe after you crated the machine and scheduled a shipping pick-up?

...

Posted a want ad.
I sent pix.
He made an offer and I accepted. Said he would pay on Sunday,
Called me on Fri/Sat said he would pay me on Sunday for sure.
no communication on Sunday.
I called and left message and pm'ed him.
He pm'd me back this morning and said he didnt want it.

OK, I can see why you are a little upset but I still don't get the the reasoning for a neg. Of course the guy appears to be a casual passer-by, not likely to post again anyway, so I don't see any harm in it either. In this case I would consider a neutral feedback report.

I've posted ONE warranted neg and got a retaliatory BOGUS neg for my troubles. Of course that bogus neg still sticks with me because the admins here evidently don't take the feedback system seriously.

there are a couple of occasions I could have made a neutral or negative, but I just pm'd the guy with my issue, hoping he would handle it better next time. It wasn't a huge deal either time.

Mark Spaeth's negative is not going to stop me from buying from him. lol He always treats me right.

I look more for the positive to make sure someone is established.

I almost Left negative feedback for a monitor chassis I bought as "working but needs a cap kit" for $60. I capped it and it was the same as before the cap kit, he even said "that's the same thing it was doing for me, I thought it just needed a cap kit" but was unwilling to refund. I didn't leave any feedback at all though. The stupid thing still sits here, I m unable to fix it, replaced a bunch of stuff so it's cost me a lot more than the $60 I put into it, mostly for the time I have into it where I should have been doing other things.
