Iterest Check: 4 Player Eliminator Panels & Coin Door Assy's

Ive got my quote back on the 4 player Eliminator panels and coin door w/cash box assy. The control panels will be Zinc coated, die punched and have the hinge pins & springs. The extra brackets that are for other games will not be there. These will only work on 4 player Eliminator. Trying to keep the costs down.

CP - $62ea or $225 for a set of 4 & Shipping will be $25-$30 for all 4 panels.

The Coin Door & cash box assembly will consist of the door frame, door, hinge and cash box. Everything will be Die punched & powdercoated black. The coin acceptor and mechs are not included, Just whats mentioned above. Theres quite a bit to these and are not the cheapest.

OR, I can run just the coin door & frame leaving off the cash box assy. The outside would appear correct, just no place to catch the coins.

Coin Door WO/Cash box Assy - $70ea or $250 for a set of 4 & Shipping will be approximately $30 for all 4 doors.

Coin Door & Cash Box Assy - $108ea or $390 for a set of 4 & Shipping will be approximately $35-$40 for all 4 doors.

I think the Cp's will do ok, but I am not expecting the coin doors to be do-able due to the cost invloved. But if enough people want them, I'll be happy to make them. Shipping above is an estimate.

Post up here if Interested. Id need to get a min of 20 of each piece or 5 sets.

Interest List:
-------------
Oppolo - 4 panels
MrBill08 - 4 panels
Zinfer - 4 panels
Mark H - 4 panels
Seawolf - 4 panels
Kspiff - 4 panels

---------------
24 Panels / 0 Coin Doors

I'm in for the control panels. And I'll take the blank coin doors if there made as well.

I could also do coin door blanks if you guys would prefer that? It would be cheaper considerably. Basically a frame, hinge, door & a lock hole. Post if thats something you would be interested in adn I can get a quote. It will not accept any mechs or anything else....

I'm in for a set of 4 control panels.

The coin door blanks are of interest to me as well. I was just thinking about not having the coin door holes cut but having the coin door blanks would give better access to the inside of the cabinet.

I'm interested in the 4 control panels. I'd need 4 frogger coin doors (at least I think that's what they used originally) but $390 is a little steep.

Yes the doors are expensive. Theres alot to them and it included the metal cash box. I bet I can do the blanks for close to half......

That sucks though if they can't be die punched for the coinmechs. I try to be as faithful as possible to original. I'm not sure what all internals were on the doors, but I would think just a metal frame, hinge, die punch. I used 8Line supply coin mechs and they worked perfectly. Is there something else I'm forgetting?

That's the door.

He's including the coin box.

I was speaking of doing the blanks. I understood that as meaning, just a door that opens and closes, with no coin mech slots in it?

Ugh...Troy said he could do it for close to half by just doing blanks. Which I took as meaning a blank door panel.

I'm definitely interested in both pieces but cannot commit right now. I will revisit the thread in a few weeks and see where we are. If this does become a "go", be sure to let me know so that I can get in if I need to. Right now I am trying to secure funds. Have to sell some of my other stuff off.

Like Mark said, what the point of the door with mechs if the coins fall to the bottom of the machine? Or are just wantign the outside to look original but not functional? I thought about just makign the frame of the door and the door panel. The back has the cash box and the cash box holder which adds quite a bit. I was goign to leave that off to keep it on the cheap but still have the doors for access..

Making it look like a coin door with nothing behind it is also an option and more aesthetically appealing. I can plug the coin slots so no tokens can be inserted.

Either way I am in for the 'faux" coin doors with reduced cost. A frame and door whatever form it takes, is fine for me. I set all of my games on free play.

Well crap. I had no idea the coin buckets were part of the damned door...

I'm in regardless. I'm an Eliminator junkie. I don't see any way of getting around it, it's so tight in there. Looks like we might just have to go the extra expense unless someone can think of something ingenius.

Ah, this image does remind me, however, that if you go the 'faux' route, you will need somewhere to mount the coin counter and other controls.

BTW, the arcadeboneyard has some of these controls available on his website (#6 and #10), though if you go the faux route just about any of the Sega/Gremlin service panels will work, even from parted converta/cabs.

Looks like as soon as you posted it, someone snapped them up. So, going the faux route /aka : getrdone

Ok, I can revisit these doors. So is the census to leave holes in the doors for the coin mechs to be mounted & plugged so the outside looks correct? I can look at the bracketry (if thats a word) and see how that stuff is incorporated into the door and see if I can have that as part of the door. basically eliminating the coin box holder and cash box leaving the rest.
