I purchased this bad boy a few years ago at an auction. I found out why it went so cheap when I tried to find the ramps for it. Only the Comet ramp has been reproduced. :(

The rest, I had to wait to find someone who was parting one out. Then it took about a year to get enough time to clean it up and install the donor ramps. The displays are messed up, but I have replacement Rottendog displays on the way. Once they are it, it will be working 100%. As it stands now, even with the messed up displays, it is a very fun pin to play.

I am now 2/3 of the way to the Python roller coaster trifecta, Comet, Cyclone and Hurricane. Just missing a Hurricane.

A personal favorite of mine, now when are you going to start taking game repairs again?

Someone just started reproing the ramps for this game recently.

Info here:

I know. I found that recently, but went with the parted out ramps because I had them (no additional cost). At some point in the future I will probably look to get one or two new ones.

I did replace some of the plastics as well. I was fortunate enough to get a set of plastics from CPR's original run of Cyclone plastics from several years ago. Not sure of the exact time frame. When they announced them on their web site I tried to order and was given the out of stock message. I tried their US dealers and they were shown as out of stock. I finally found a dealer in Norway that had a set that was on sale. With a good exchange rate and the 20% off, they were cheaper than buying locally despite the high shipping cost. When I got them I found out that they were from the first run of Cyclone plastic repros. They had been on the shelf. About a week after I got my plastics, they were suddenly available on the CPR site and all the distributors. No idea what happened, but I am guessing they put them up on their site and then had a production hitch.

Update. I got the new displays yesterday and put them in tonight. The only hitch was the 90 degree ribbon cable header was too close to the board, so I had to carefully bend it out just a smidge. Once they went in they were perfect. Once I can download the pic from my phone, I'll post it.

Now I need to save up and get a set for my F14.

Since these fired right up, it makes me think it is just one of the interface chips on the board.

Nice. Fun game. I've had mine for about 8 years now. Completely torn apart. When I bought mine, the playfield was ruined. The previous owner spilled transmission fluid on it. I have a repro playfield, but haven't had time to transfer parts. And yes, my ramps are cracked and chipped, but at least they're there. Congrats on the completion of yours.
