I recently purchased (from AliExpress, direct from HK) a 138-in-1 multicart, the one with the daughter board. I have a 2-slot motherboard, and I'm having issues, which appears to sometimes be the case. I've read some posts here and elsewhere about them "not working" or being made to work, and I wanted to see if the issues were similar to my own. My issues with the cart are that the games seem to load (music kicks in) before the menu screen changes over to the game screen, so that by the time I can see what's going on, my character has either been auto-selected or had ample time to take damage. The sound is also off, with music coming in very loud and sound effects barely audible. Finally, when the menu is up, the sound seems to cycle from bits of the Neo-Geo boot sound, to sound from the games, to a horrible sounding mish-mosh of tones. Has anyone else had the same issues, and if so, were you able to correct them?

I also just bought a 138-in-1 from AliExpress.
Got it yesterday, and had some graphics sound issues.
I started moving the wire and figured out it got better and worse with the wire position. It started working 100% OK, so I thought I'd volunteer to try and fix it if the seller was OK with that. The seller on AliExpress told me to go ahead and try to fix.

I opened the cartridge (broke the warranty seal) and it looked like the 2 white connectors were not quite seated correctly. Anyway, I reseated them, plugged it back in and everything appears good now.

You will have an issue with the multi slot PCB's, there is a lot of good info on how to fix.... keep searching!!

As far as the sound starting while the menu is up after selecting a game, that is normal, it is the drawback of this cartridge. However the game shouldn't be started already as you said I think. Also, no game sounds at all should be going while the menu is just up.... Depending on your seller, you might check inside the cartridge to see if the 2 white connectors are indeed seated correctly.

I personally like the menu so much after having the N-in-1 carts that a longer load time is fine with me.

I was having graphic issues, lines through sprites.

Saw this, and it helped me fix my 111 in 1 mvs multicart.

Without opening it, you can reseat that connector (I have no idea what it looks like) by moderately slamming screw sides down on to a counter a few times. I did it screw side up and the graphic became worse. Flipped it over and now it is looking and working great :D

Thanks!
