Alot of you are already aware that the red on my k7000 does not show red on the screen for my paperboy. I tested the pins and the red is definitely not getting as much voltage as the other two colors at the neck. I traced it past the neck board and down to the main chassis. I just finished a complete cap kit (minus the 3 caps that are non polarized, I still need to order those) and nothing has changed. Is there a fault in the main board that could cause this? This is ridiculous.

Have you checked the red drive pots on the neckboard as well? I had to replace the red one on my neckboard because I had no red. Transistor was replaced and cold solder fixed but still had no red.

I have checked those with my multimeter but the voltage drop goes past them down to the chassis. I stopped checking for voltage at the wires that connect the neckboard to the chassis. By the way, what does the huge cap on the k7000 do? I ordered a replacement radial for it but the leads are different. Does that matter?

On the K7000 you need to resolder ALL of the header pins on ALL of the headers.

Also, you can swap the drive pots to see if they're bad just like you do the transistors on the neckboard.

check the signal at each of the color inputs to IC1 on the neck board at pins 2,4,and 6. If the signals are the same here the outputs are found at pins 17, 19 and 21. This is prior to any amplification by the video amps. I have replaced this IC for a missing color a few times and it may be affecting your game as well.
