issue with Wayne Gretzky 3d Hockey inside NBA Showtime cab

Not sure if anybody has done this, but I've installed a Wayne Gretzky 3D hockey PCB/hard drive into my NBA Showtime cab. The game boots up and runs, and I can add credits. However, my 4 player controller panel does nothing. My I-40 is wired properly, according to the Showtime schematics. It should be an easy swap. Does anybody know of any compatibility issues between the Midway Showtime wiring harness and the Atari 3D Hockey game? Or maybe my I-40 is dead?

Yes it does. There is a Dipswitch to switch between 8-way and 49-way. There is no change when turn the switch on/off

I've had some minor progress with my problem. The buttons all act as if they are always on, 1 of the joysticks sort of works but movents are all reversed, and player 1 buttons control player 4, etc.

I have read of similar problems with using the Gauntlet Legends boardset inside a NBA/NFL Blitz cab, but have not found a solution.

Just a suggestion ..I bought a shifter from a cruising USA for my Cali speed. The microswitches were backwards. The board needs to read them all closed with the selected gear open. This could be what your experiencing as well. Try to switch some of the connected on the microswitches on the buttons and boot the game in the service menu. From there test controls and see if they register the correct way.
