Isolation transformer needed for test?

I had assumed that I could just put a switch on the Bob Roberts setup to turn off the DC side if I wanted to. I think the ISO tap stuff you're posting is great, but I really only want to focus on Electrohome and Wells monitors right now. If I find myself getting into more elaborate setups, perhaps I'll come back to that.

I think it simplifies the setup. The ISOtap can be plugged right into a wall socket. All you need to do is make a power cord to plug into the ISO tap and the monitor (I used an old extension cord and a 2 pin molex plug). My test rig has a power strip with individual rocker switches for each outlet. I have the ISOtap plugged in to one outlet and a switching power supply (with JAMMA harness) into another. No need for any of the other stuff really. Easy-peasy.
