Hello All,

I have started repairing monitors now and am looking for an iso transformer to use on my bench. I would like an 120v as I can make do with my nintendo games.

Thanks
Ted

I actually will have one.

I just puchased a power supply and isolation transformer from a donkeykong. My dk already has the transformer, so I will just need the power supply and have no need for the iso.

I need to check the tracking but I should have it in a couple of days.

I am of the opinion since it is heavy, that a flat rate medium box of some type will be the way to ship this thing.

pm me if you want to wait a couple of days until I get it, I can turn it over the same day and ship to you.

The Nintendo transformers can drive 120 and 100 volt monitors. Others can to. Although it might be easier to just use a Nintendo one as they are easier to find.

Man I wish I knew that! Well now I will have extra. How do you run 120v and 100v off that nintendo supply?

My bench rig has a midway iso built into it so it wouldnt be convenient to swap wires. Besides, the midway iso only has two wires in and two wires out. Not all transformers have extra unused windings but alot of them do. Its rare I do any work on the 100v monitors so the variac method works fine for me.
As far as a variac just search for an old one on ebay or at swap meets. The old ones are built like tanks and last forever. I dont have any spares but my dad might. He was asking me just a couple weeks ago if I needed one. It was out of the blue, kinda strange thing to ask unless he just picked up an extra. I have to run by there tomorrow, will ask him.

I'd love to get a spare Nintendo Iso with lugs for both 100v and 120v. I seem to be switching back and forth between Sanyos and Wells monitors a lot these days on the bench.

If anyone has a spare iso that will drive both 100v and 120v, let me now, I'll take it off your hands.
