Anyone in the Southwest US selling cut assembled Midway cabinets? Like arcade shops but closer to me. :) the shipping price kills the deal for me

I'm trying to put together a msPac/Pac/galaga reunion machine and don't really want to strip an existing machine.

I have parts and artwork just looking for the cabinet.

I'm in AZ and willing to drive a bit to pick it up.

The closest to AZ that I'm aware of is the Boulder place but they are not taking order as of right now.

I'm not super interested in assembling the cabinet if I get it cut from the classicarcade.com plans site - opting for the lazy route for the time being - if i can :)
- also I've spoken to a few places and its difficult to find someone willing to cut 1 cabinet. Plus I'd like to try and give business to someone in the community if possible.

I'd be willing to hear any suggestions or if anyone knows of anyone doing such a thing close to or in AZ -

thanks

Give Haruman a shout.

He does CNC cut cabinets, bartops, cocktail kits for a good price and he's 1 hour and 40 mins drive away, in Gilbert: https://www.harumancustoms.com/

He takes custom orders as well, and I've seen him do full sized cabinets before. I highly recommend him, he does great work and will work with you to make sure you're happy.

Hmmm I've bought cocktail stuff from him but I've never seen any full size cabinets

And yes fantastic work -I'll ask and see if he has midway plans

I'm in the same boat as you. I need two Midway galaga/ms pac style cabinets.

i've been waiting with bated breath for the Boulder Arcade Factory to start producing again.

Please post your results with Haruman. I'd be willing to make that drive.

Good luck!

this is interesting also, id give monies for a flatpacked Nintendo vs single monitor cab if some1 repro'd them...

just wanted to do a follow-up

I spoke with Lee - he's looking into the cost/feasibility.

On a side note - I also spoke with Mike' arcade - he does cabinets but does not ship them.

Picking up one cabinet in utah is not feasible for me.

I'll post back when I've got more info

Arcade86 does custom arcade cabinets. They near la or lax air port.

I know banning is looking into getting a cnc router but that might take years.

Very interested

Yes, please keep report back. I'm interested in three new dynamo Hs-1 cabinets and would love if I could just pick them up local vs ship

Did Mike's Arcade give you any indication of price? Circleville is not far for me. I used to go there for the atv trails. I would be willing to pick up other cabinets as long as I don't have to hang onto them for too long.
****EDIT****
I found it on their website
https://mikesarcade.com/cgi-bin/store.pl?action=url&page=prod/cabs/cabs.html#package-a

Not exactly what I'm looking for it's a bit too complete and pricey. I can't see him coming down to the under $400 cabs like Arcadeshop.

That's what he has posted - he does the same version as arcade shop and is in the same price range (just the assembled cabinet - no artwork or wiring)- he just doesn't post them any more.

Rob, you are in Vegas?

Yes I'm in Las Vegas.
I wonder if we avoid the sales tax if we're paying online even though I'm picking them up.

OK So thanks to Jawilbu we figured out Mike's Arcade offers cabinets in the $425 price point.
Maybe if we get a few if we couldn't get it down a bit.

We also don't know how many different styles of cabinets he offers. He had the Midway style listed but I'm wondering if he has some Nintendo cabs and others like Arcadeshop has.

Like I stated before I'm willing to pick other people's cabs up as well. If there are enough I'll rent an open trailer for the day. A Uhaul 6x12 is only like $50. Split between a few of us it won't be bad.

I wouldn't want to handle anyone's $ so purchases would have to be directly with Mike's Arcade and he'll just be informed it's part of the group I'm picking up .

I also don't have room to store cabs so someone here in LV with the room would have to step up to hold onto the cabs that can't be picked up immediately.

There is a Fastenal here in Las Vegas but I wouldn't want to be responsible for palletizing cabs. I also don't have the means to move palletized cabs.

So basically I'm good for the pickup.
I figured I'd throw these facts around to keep the discussion going as a few people have reached out to me because they need cabs fairly soon.

sorry I don't have much more to add than my last post.

Still haven't heard back from Lee.

Rob,

I know mike has offered Nintendo style cabs and I'm pretty sure some other styles as well (just like arcade shop)

If you are up for collecting cabinets I'd be in for some. Vegas is 2 hours closer for me. I'd love to work out a deal with you if that's something you think is possible. (for transporting them back to Vegas)

Even if no one else decides to jump in on this I wouldn't mind picking up a cab or two for you.
This first time I'm only going to pick up one so I'll have room in my truck.

I'm curious about Lee still. It's always good to have options.
