ISO: Capcom Big Blue

Did the negotiations go south or was it bad timing?

Not at all, i'm just working with a small budget. I'm saving my pennies so it will increase, and I do have savings to stretch a bit more for the right cab, but I don't really want to pay the full price for a fully restored cab.

I saw that one; the issue with SoCal pickups are that they are out of "borrow" truck range for me, so I would be forced the fly and rent a truck, which would be at least $250 on top of the cost of the machine. Honestly I would be more interested in that one if it was closer. A couple of weeks ago at the auction on SoCal there were much better condition machines that went in the $400 range.

It would be more possible if I owned a truck but I'm stuck with what I have to work with...

Thanks for the tips though, your help means a lot!

What a turd, an excellent candidate for restoration.

This is gold! A working CPS2 A/B board. The B-board is likely a Rev7 board. Perfect for the Darksoft Multi. A working monitor, likely a K7000. The CP is the classic Capcom 6-button per player configuration. It's rolled in black which actually protects the wood; nothing a little Citristrip can't fix. Shoot, I'd be all over this like white on rice if I didn't already set a 2018 goal of not buying any more cabs.

What is your main ride? Can it make it to SoCal through the Grapevine and back? If you have a mini-van, you can do this with some ratcheting tie down straps and by removing the seats. You have ratcheting straps on hand ready to go, right? Because you should. If you don't have a mini-van, you know that they make trailer hitches for every vehicle imaginable don't you? Then you can just rent or borrow a utility trailer and make the trip. Uhaul utility trailers cost less than $20/day to rent, you know that right? And if you are worried about the cost of the hitch, know that the hitch can be used for lots of utility that requires moving around large items. Would probably save you dough in the long run if you got it.

Even if the deal were available, sounds like you might not be ready to move quickly enough on it to pick it up. Be prepared brutha. These things don't last long. Gotta be ready on a drop of a dime.

Heard that, have been wanting a hitch for a while, but it would eat into my cab budget a lot. Since the search is taking so long, I might be able to afford one once we see what the taxes look like this year. This would solve a lot of problems, including this transport issue.

*OR* A good buddy in Manteca could pick this up for me for a reasonable fee [emoji16]
