iScored game room score tracker

Seriously, I never even knew this was a thing. It's a really cool piece of tech. You could have one of these on a Smart TV or even a RaspPi running with one on a regular LCD TV. I've got a 42" TV in the spare bedroom now that's a smart TV that no one uses. Really cool, just really cool.

Yes that would be really cool. I put together a Raspberry PI tablet to put in my Nintendo Switch Kiosk (Nintendo actually used the same hardware)

The touchscreen in the pi works awesome, I might make another one as it's cheap

With family over for close to 9 hours last Saturday, we had a bunch of sessions in the game room and, thanks to iScored, we had a bunch of family members more interested than usual.

Here's a video taken around noon and this wasn't the most people in the game room at one time. At one point in the day, every game was occupied and then me and my mom were walking about. I have a small space and that was probably the most people down there at one time, but everyone seemed to be having fun.

Puzzle Bobble was a popular game this time. But games like Tug Boat (on the ArPiCade) really surprised me. There were 4 of us screwing around and beating each other's score every few minutes. It was a blast... even with a horrible game like that.

I know this thread is old but I really like iScored as well. It's now even better as they have QR codes for each game so all you need to do is scan the QR code and enter your score...it's super easy. I plan on putting a QR code on each one of my games for easy score entering.

Here's an idea (I think it would work)....we could create a KLOV iScored and each member could log the scores from his/her machines? It would kinda feel like we were back in the local arcade trying to beat some friend or not a friend down the streets score lol. I know a lot of you guys have tons of machines. I have a little over 20 but I'm the only one that plays them (and I'm not good at any)...but it would be cool to see other peoples scores instead of just mine.

I "think" all that would need to happen is create the site and share the QR codes once the games are setup.

Anyway, maybe it's stupid but thought I'd throw it out there :)

I love this idea! Just wish more people would use this scoreboard!

Only problem I forsee is settings... I try to keep my games on TG settings, but I think I have a couple exceptions.

I rolled my own high score system for my arcade. It's not as fancy looking as I scored, but I like it for parties.

It seems some of my pics are gone from this thread. Just wanted to show a fresh view here. I think I've done every game that I can play in the game room besides all the Neo Geo games. Here's a screenshot.

Here's the link to view all the current games I have enabled: https://www.iscored.info/Oldtymetoys

I also use TG settings as well. I guess it could be a problem if we wanted to go hard core but there's no way to police those settings. This was mainly just an idea I thought would be fun :). I'm not going to be mad if someone beats my score on an easier setting. My scores stink anyway, lol.

I'm not a high score guy, so my scores are most players' low scores.

This post intrigued me enough to cough up the twenty bucks.

Are you guys only putting your dedicated game scores up or are you also putting your MAME game scores up?

I'm just doing dedicated games because that's all I have. I honestly wouldn't mind spending another $20 for a KLOV site or just using the one I have now. Once all the games are set up I think all we need to do is share the QR codes to post the scores. The site allows for 25 characters instead of just initials so when scores are posted we could use our KLOV name.

That would be awesome... is there a way to tie two (or more) scoreboards together? THAT would be an interesting feature as well.

I added it last night. I was thinking of what games to add. I heard you can keep track of wins/losses so I might try that out.

Making the game art isn't too bad. The ones I did don't look super pretty but suffice.

I need to try adding like 30 initials to one game and see how that looks.

Not sure on the 30 names either. I've been trying to adjust the CSS to get a cleaner look. It would be very cool to combine iScore sites or at least somehow share scores across multiple sites.

I made an entry for almost every game one could play in my game room. For example, I have a every active game on the 60-1. If I remove it for the BitKit, I disable the 60-1 games on iScored. It took a LONG time to get it how I want it, but you understand the work it takes to make something look good with all the ArPiCade stuff you've created.

As I said earlier, I do not have every Neo Geo game up. I have created probably half a dozen of them becuase they were the popular ones in my game room.

We use wins and losses for a Neo Geo fighter that we like. I like that feature.

I think to do this right, I need a touch screen. I bet they can be had for cheap. Having it up on the wall high in a TV using a pc to work with it just seems cumbersome when it goes live... Hmmm...
