Is World Class Bowling any good? Worth putting in a Goldentee cab? Or, Silver Strike?

Thinking about buying a World Class Bowling PCB and adding a JAMMA switcher to my GoldenTee cab. Is World Class Bowling good enough to justify it? Or, do I need to go for Silver Strike? I don't think I ever played World Class Bowling. Is it seriously dated?

What about Shuffleshot? Awesome game and I just happen to be selling a pcb. ;)

ShuffleShot is a great PCB. World Class Bowling is good too, me and my son love it, but it's more of a one trick pony than Shuffle Shot.

In my opinion, its pretty bland, even more so than Capcom Bowling. But if your looking for a cheap and decent game of bowling it does the job. I can tell you my in-laws used to play silver strike at the bars all the time, then they bought a WCB at auction and I believe they are happy with it, but they arent really gamers like we are. This was a couple years back when silver strike's were still high dollar. Last auction, however, they went pretty cheap IIRC.

Also, I believe WCB is standard resolution. if your GT is a Fore! series or newer, you have a hi-res. monitor in there.

Since by standard rez we're talking Lego block scale squares, WCB is indeed standard resolution...

World Class Bowling is a solid bowling game, but it gets pretty old pretty fast on freeplay. If you're a big fan of bowling, though, you'd probably like it.

There's nothing WRONG with it, the physics are right and everything, but... you just bowl. You roll the ball down the lane. LOL.

If anyone has a cheap Silver Strike computer or board or whatever the hell it is please let me know! :D

GT Fore! is medium res not hi-res.

Go with SSB ... I have SSB and GT Complete running in my cabinet.

It's a winning combination!

How is your setup run?

I am using the Happ Perfect Solution kit in mine, though I seem to be having some voltage issues with it. Both games appear to be running just fine through the kit, but the buttons that change back and forth between the games are not working.

Once I get that sorted, I will post back here with photos and comments on whether or not I like the Perfect Solution.

Also, I have a post in the technical section here chronicling my issues with the Perfect Solution kit if you are interested in following the saga ...
