Is this worth it?

Interestingly, that looks to be a Space Invaders Part II, not a Space Invaders II as the ad states. Space Invaders II has a 2 player simultaneous mode. Here is a link:

I have seen those games go in the $200 to $250 range if working and in good shape. If not working, they are practically a giveaway. The Taito cocktails are a bit small and quirky, and in general people tend to prefer the Midway ones (with larger screens and more ergonomic controls). I say go for it.

Honestly, I'd pass on it unless you are desperate for a cocktail. Cocktail tables take up so much room that unless I can get it for cheaper then that, I just pass on them. If you wait you can find similar cocktails for $50-$100 working pretty often. Now if it was a pacman cocktail or something similar that's a different story.

What do you think a fair price for an empty pac-man style cocktail is?

Wow - not knowing much about them, I'm surprised that these go so cheaply. I love the IDEA of a cocktail, though I'd probably quickly discover that it's not worth the space it takes up and resell.

I got one of these empty for free and turned it into a sweet mame cab. If you remove the metal box from the bottom it becomes a functional table. :p

good day.

It is funny, but personally the only cocktails I really enjoy (in that form factor) is the galaga/Ms Pacman cocktails. I think it is due to my memories of going to the pizza shop, setting my drink on top of the cocktail and playing some pacman/galaga.

cocktails are uncomfortable to play. i don't think i'll ever buy another one.

IMHO, there are too many different cabinet/control designs to lump all cocktails into the same "uncomfortable to play" category. I've played quite a few that were perfectly comfortable - and sometimes it's nice not having to stand the whole time, too.

Disagree, take up space yes, there is nothing better than a marathon Pong session while sitting comfortably.
