Im picking up a Double Dragon 2 original cabinet today for 200. It supposedly needs a "fuse" its a semi familiar guy to me so I think it may be legit.

Whats it worth

Yes! And if you don't want it I will be more than happy to grab it! I missed out on a DD2 in december that was very close to me and still regret it.

If it's a fuse, why wouldn't he just replace it before selling? That's pretty much always BS.

Sounds to good to be true.

Take a flash light and inspect it.

If the monitor chassis looks burnt deduct $100

Board looks jack deduct $100

Do not be afraid to walk away.

Some times its cheaper to pay the gas and trailer rental then to replace all those bad parts and you have more in it than its worth

Ends up its an original cabinet, there is a wireharness with "jamma" written on it. Sound doesnt work and the monitor is fuzzy. Also when you touch the right joystick it locks up.

I think I can fix the control panel issues. No idea what to do on sound or video issues.

Yeah, sounds like the seller was right. Just "needs a fuse". ;)

"This chassis looks burnt and board looks jacked... I will take the cab for $0 please and thank you."

lol :)

I stand by what I said. Why pay for junked machines?

Sure it has value. But it may cost more to restore than the machine is worth.

Not sure how much unburned monitors go where you are from, but there is little in my area without traveling 2-300 miles.

So figure fuel, time, wear and tear on vehicle, plus rebuild.... Yes about $100 deduction.

Noone gives anything away for free.

Unless you are talking about the pacman and dynamo hs-5 with simpsons bowling i picked up for free as nonworking (pac broken power switch and fuse) and the simp was a chassis fuse.

This sort of thing is rare and barely ever happens. I am thankful and paid the guy $20 anyway. My first machines and had no idea what the deal i got was...
