The school of hard knocks knocks again! Bought what I was told a working Max Force/Area 51 combo back in summer.
Typical me, I didn't test it when it first arrived because my monitor was down. Thought I'd go for an easy win and finally get a chance to plug it in while I'm working on some other troubled projects. Alas, does not boot. Board lights up, but monitor isn't picking up a signal.
Was going to replace the hdd with a ssd drive, but you need a specific drive for either a single board or a stacked board (was going to get a drive with roms in case those are bad too). Looking at comparisons, this looks like a Site 4 board... If it is, are those able to be Area 51/Max Force? From my brief sleuthing it doesn't seem like it.
Correct?
If I'm wrong, which drive should a get, single or stacked?
Not super stoked about getting this board going as the packaging during shipping was pretty shoddy, so not super hopeful it's going to be a simple swap.
Thanks!
