Is this a real release, a hack job, or what? Can I use it with...

OK, so I have a chance to get a pretty decent Centipede dedicated unit locally, and I vaguely remembered a multi Centipede-Millipede-Missile Command game. I found this in KLOV:

http://www.arcade-museum.com/game_detail.php?game_id=7300

So, was this real? A hack job? Was it only put out as a cabaret or is there a full-size upright of it? Anyone have one, or the PCB for it? Would it be worth trying to convert the Centipede to this? (Once upon a time I would have just done it and not asked, but the more I go through equipment, the more I've started to want to leave dedicated equipment in a condition reasonably close to original issue.)

I guess right now I'm trying to find that sweet spot between a vertical multi that's a jack of all trades and master of none, and something like the Class of '81, Pac-Man Party, or Neo Geo where there's a genuine multigame with proper hardware support and a control panel that feels "right" when you play. I mean there are always the ArcadeSD boards I guess but then cost becomes an issue. WeLink costs little but the quality seems lacking. So I'm not sure really where to go next.

Thanks to all for your input.

Also, Wow! MK cabinet complete with steering wheel!

Castles n' Coasters has that in a full size cab, so I'm sure it's just a kit.

Btw, my sister lives out in Gilbert. As I was driving to her place tonight for dinner, I realized we passed right by your place! When we left, I took another peek. Looks like you had a good size crowd for 10 PM!

It is real. http://www.teamplayinc.com/CMM/index.html

Yep. Real cab. We have several customers who have the full-sized upright (25" monitor). They made a version that has Let's Go Bowling on it too...

And if you wanted to convert, you'd need the board (obviously), a JAMMA harness, a switcher, and extra buttons on the control panel...

The full size one with the 25" monitor is pretty cool. I like the way they made Missile Command work on a vertical monitor. It also uses a big golden-tee style trackball, so it's cool to play centipede with the larger trackball.

Mine had a 25" U2000 in it.
