hi all

i was wounderng is this a medium res chassis i know its a k7000 19""
i have capd it reflowed all the solder spots that are fried or need repired.
problem is i dont have a tube or medium res game to test it on.

also can any body recomend a cheap jamma game i can pick up to have as a test pcb and does any body have a tube i can buy i dont care if it has bad burn or not, but i need it to have all the color guns working for test purpeses please.
i think i have several of theses and would gladly sell or tade them if i can get them working.

also by chance will a regular k7000 standrd res yoke work for testing. if it does i am half there if not what are the yoke readings for a medum res so if i find a yoke i can use i can swap it on to a doner tube.

also is there a 25" k7000 medium res version if so can some one please post a pic of it for reference. i have googled and searched but canot get any pics.

any and all help will be geat thanks.

Peace
Buffett

1) It looks like a K7000 med-res. Usually the med-res versions have that little thing mounted on top of the left wall with the red and white wires coming off of it.

2) No, you can't use a standard-res yoke for testing. Not only will it not work, but the standard-res yoke is made for a CR-31 neck and a med-res yoke is made for a CR-23 neck.

3) A tube is easy to get, as any CR-23 necked tube will work. Getting the proper yoke will be the tough part. I tried a while back to get one so I could fix these things for people, but haven't had the chance. I have a friend with a Toobin (med-res) that has a med-res K7000 19" in it, but I've moved quite a bit farther away and it's not really worth driving over there (with gas so high) just to test a chassis I'd make $50 on.

4) if you want a JAMMA game that can test both standard and med-res monitors, then you need to find something that uses both resolutions via dip switch. I use a Blitz 99 PCB. Golden Tee Fore (2002-2005) boards will also work, as will some others.

5) Not sure if there IS a med-res 25" version of the K7000, or possible a 27". I have a chassis that looks like a med-res (just like yours) and has the P538 written on it (for 25" or 27"), but I haven't found a way to test it...

cool

thanks for the heads up i definetly dont want to blow my yoke for standerd res. i only have one as it is.

ok well hope i can find a game / pcb and yoke somtime soon i would like to test this thing.

i have fixed 7 standerd res 19" in the last couple days and have 7 more 19"s to go then its off to the 25"s 10 of them to go yea progress.

so if any body can help me out getting a tube and yoke i would gladly fix their chassis for free.

think i'll post a wanted add:) maby ill get lucky

You won't blow the yoke. It'll just be very dark and will scroll all the time. You won't be able to get a decent enough pic to see if it's actually working properly...

cool thanks

ok thats good to know thanks.

posted a want add hope i get lucky.

if i get 2 ill let you know and we can trade some time.
