I have a monitor with a snapped neck that I acquired today. I think it is a Kortek chassis but I am not 100%. Also, the monitor frame is black and really thin metal.

Thanks!
Tom

It has similar elements to a Kortek I have, but isn't identical. (Mine is a 15".) But some things are similar enough about it (the cage around the flyback, and the placement of the large power resistor next to it) that I would non-conclusively lean toward yes.

it looks very similar to the KT-1420A which always had its number on the solder side.

Thank you. I will take it out of the frame and check for the model number. Is this chassis directly compatible with any typical tubes (G07, 4600, 4900, k7000, etc...)

Cheers,
Tom

Most companies did not use the same tube

on every version or the chassis line.

Check {manuals in general} you'll see in some cases a list of tubes

can be found.

Any part numbers on the tube?

Yeah: A48ABK05X

Looks like the same type as a K7000

Getting a 19 tube from a 19 k7000

probably means some burn in.

and a worn-out tube.

a Daewoo 20" DTQ20J4FC would not likely be any burn in...

and not worn out.

If not found on the street, then at this point I would think you would

replace the monitor and do nothing to yours now.

What are you thinking?
