Is this a Gotlieb or aftermarket Qbert PCB?

qbert victory!

Thanks to JROK for his advice! I have everything working just fine now.

The full size version of the diagram for the qbert bootleg to JAMMA adapter is here: http://www.priglmeier.com/arcade_projects/jamma_adapters.html

There is one change... I will edit the drawing later. Connect the grounds on the JAMMA side for all the ground wiring.

thanks to everyone again. I will post more details on my website this week. Now it's time to play some qbert.

The website is updated with the latest JAMMA drawing.

I notice on your JAMMA Drawing coin 1 is not connected

One of my bootlegs only worked with coin 2 also, like your drawing, but the other ones worked on player 1 only, strange

Nice site, do you mind if I link to it Priglmeier on my site?

coin 1

Coin 1 is hooked up. The notes on the bottom of the drawing explain....

Color coded pins indicate wires that go from one side to the other. grey pin 10 on the Qbert SS to the grey pin on the JAMMA PS

Sure link to my site.

Variations

I'm going to say that I have a bootleg 1 - variation #2 and perhaps a new variation... call it #4. I will look into this more over the next couple of weeks.

My next project is to get a knocker going and then perhaps think about retrofitting the speech chips and circuitry. I haven't decided if I'm quite that crazy yet! It would be a challenge though and a unique project to document on my website. Has anyone actually done this?

I've not tried it, but the board can functionally support it. You just need to add the darlington transistor and move the resistor that drives it.

What are the 2 adjustment pots for on the board? One is probably sound, but what is the 2nd one???

Sorry to bring up an old thread. I'm looking for the answer to this question, and not sure if it ever got answered.
.

Okay, this is an old thread, but I've taken the time to solder in all the missing components. From all the pics, I think i have everything, but there is one pic in which there are some added components and a jumper wire in the section in the pic.

Anyone have a working speech bootleg QBert that can take a hi-res photo?

Thanks

Andys arcade (in the UK) does, so the urban legend goes
