[I've been reading up on CRT tube, CR sockets, pins, etc. and wanted to get some verification on this.]
I picked up two 13" TVs at Goodwill that looked like they might be candidates for a tube replacement in an arcade monitor. I have a G07-FBO in my Pacman so I wanted to see if I could find a compatible tube.
These are models MGA CS-1342R & CS-1344R. I took apart the CS-1342R and here's what I found. The CS-1344R has the same tube.
I found a 12 pin tube. My understanding is that this would be a CR-28 which is what the G07-FBO is looking for.
I took some resistance measurements. I measured the red/blue is 3.7 ohms while the yellow/brown is 55 ohms. The 3.7 is slightly higher than I saw documented but the 55 seems in line.
Any guesses as to whether this will be a drop-in replacement? I don't want to mess with my working machine to see but I might have to start looking for another G07-FBO chassis to test with.
