I bought this Millipede,it is in a Centipede cabinet, the marquee and side art look like factory made ,it has Kangaroo artwork under Millipede side art.
I have a Jr Pacman like that way, under the jr Pacman artwork is a Mappy ,that one I know it was done in factory.

Very weird indeed. My guess is that it is some sort of factory conversion. But I have never seen anything like that before.

I have seen one of these before. I believe it is just a conversion kit they used to sell. I have seen them do this for turning games into crystal castles as well.

You do not have a centipede turn mill cabinet it is a kangaroo cab that has been converted.

these were kits ops bought. Atari sold them to distributors who in turn sold them to ops.
I converted a few and ran them back when I was operating in the 80's.

Does Kangaroo use same cabinet as Centipede?
I bought it after the Super auction, Super Auction tried to sell this game twice, seller bought back twice,he end up sold it to me after the auction.
I know it is not original Millipede but looks nice .

Not exactly. Look at the long flat overhang over the monitor. Centipede's overhang is at a more upright angle.

No, the are different between the top os the CP and below the marquee (bezel sides) and Centipede is a square coin door, Kangaroo is an over under. I've had both and converted a kangaroo to a centipede....it looked wierd :)

You can tell an operator installed it and not the factory because he didn't get the sideart lined up quite right. In the flyer that little curl sticks out where the control panel goes, on the one Wu bought it's off a bit.

Still, pretty interesting game. Nice score!

I would actually probably prefer a Millipede in that cab. The smaller TB is much better IMO.

...

ive seen several of those cabs, actually have one in one of our warehouse vids.

btw. i have NOS millipede sideart made for centipede style cabs.

Well now my question would be what was the cab that was used to make it a Millipede?

I would doubt that a Dig Dug was killed, more likely a Kangaroo or Arabian..

I would guess it was a conversion kit.
The dedicated JrPac was an actual factory conversion. They used up some remaining mappy cabs and then sold Jr as kit only after that.
