Is this a dedicated joust or a dedicated factory conversion??

hope the guru's can ID this joust for me.

picked up this complete joust for what i think was a good price.

i have not plugged it in turned it on or done any trouble shooting to it yet.
i was told it worked when the op got it, but when he got it home before i got it, it did not work. but that does not bother me as i like fixing things anyway. probably just a fuse:D

it does not look like a typical joust but yet it does.

it looks to be factory and not repainted or re-stenciled Ect..

but it kinda looks like a Robotron or some other Williams game back in the day.

there are no serial stickers/plaques/stamped plates to indicate what it is/was. other than you can tell it is now a Joust.
in the vid there is a stamp on the cap that i did not get a still photo of.
.48-.50 seconds into the vid.

so if i have a limited run or something i would like to know as i will get it working again to enjoy.

all images can be seen here.

Posted incorrect info half asleep on that one, I had to remove it. I need to not post when not awake.

usually you can see the 2084 art under the joust art if you look at the right angles. Its factory done, so thats cool. Nice pickup!

I think Weiner Dog is on the scent trail of finding a nice dead rat .

I had one once too, they definately came dedicated like that. pretty cool find!

yea i am glad i picked it up. i like having the one off's or harder to find cabs.
i have wanted a joust for some time, i got lucky with this one that it is a non standard factory conversion:)

yea he's a great little Wiener:D

he is going on 12+ years old and is still just as spry and fun to be with as when he was a pup.

it is fun you can even fish for him. put something on a fishing pole line and cast it and he will chase it. it's a fun to do.

I had a painted over Robotron cabinet once. Under the cover up paint was Joust paint, under that was Robotron paint. I was also thinking that Joust may have come in another upright cabinet as well. Moon Patrol maybe? Correct me if I am wrong.

Somebody answer this:

why did they paint the red "w" and the red knight, two different colors of red? I noticed it on my Joust the other day, then just noticed it on yours too. The colors are just slightly different... since it's stenciled, you'd think it would have been easier to just use the same red.

Or is it just, the one red is over brown, and the other is over yellow, so it looks lighter because the paint is bleeding through underneath it?

that is a good question i had not noticed that.

hope that question can be answered.

Yeah, a local guy's Joust is in one of those Robotron cabs. Definitely factory done. Whats really weird is a Stargate in a Joust cab, don't think that one is factory.

I've owned them both ways:
Factory 2084 cab painted Joust (Joust paint over 2084 paint)
Factory Joust cab painted 2084 (2084 paint only)
