I have a chance at this but something looks off to me...

I can't tell if the cabinet part where the coin door is a 90 or 45 degree angle and the part where the speaks go looks a bit too tall for a Big Blue.

Is this my imagination?

Looks like some kind of Dynamo cab. You can do almost anything with those things, they are tall and plenty of room to add tons of buttons, steering wheels, lights, a toaster, grill ect...

Looks like a Leland cab. I think I have a pic somewhere of mine.

edit: There it is. Mine was a Pigout. I was hoping for a Big Blue when I picked this up.

Ahhhh and there it is, we have our winner. Now the question is, what games were actually used for this beast. I'm just wondering if it's worth the pick up.

Ataxx, Pigout, and offroad (kindof)

Oh well it was enough to get my hopes up. Thanks very much thunderbunny! It would have sucked to discover this after I got it home.

cheers!

That's exactly what happened to me. Drove an hour and a half only to see it was not a Big Blue. Still picked it up. Got it for what I could sell the board for, so I can't complain.

Hold out for a Big Blue, I knew that one looked off in your other thread. The monitor area seemed too small.

I will try, but we've got these people with their artcade show / barcade that have been buying up anything on craigslist for a long time. We've been having a dry spell down here in PHX.

The worse part is, they aren't repairing/restoring these cabs, they are letting local artists do their own stuff. I understand how some people could really like this, especially artists... but a little part of me dies inside thinking about it. I just think of all those cabs sitting there against their will like people pods in the Matrix.

Keep looking they are out there. I picked up one last April I believe just a few miles from my sisters home (where the Big Blue is still at). I had bid on one on ebay, won it for $53. Was just the cab - or at least the description had lead me to believe.

When I picked it up, it was surprised to see that the power supply, q-sound, and Capcom Marvel Super Heroes VS Street Fighter (working) was still in the cab.

I'd rather have the older style, but hell for a simple drop in fighter cab I love it.

Picture attached - was when I had tried to fit a 29'' Makvision Trisync in it. KI2 running minus sound obviously. Only thing I had at the time (almost fit!). Before I ultimately snapped the neck in a freak accident. So i'm back to square one..
