Stadium Events is an NES cartridge. It's rare because, shortly after it's release, Nintendo bought the rights to the Family Fun Fitness Mat (or whatever it was called initially) and associated games from Bandai. Stadium Events was only on store shelves a very short time before Nintendo bought the rights, and most copies were recalled, along with the fitness mat itself. Later, Nintendo released the mat as the Power Pad, and the game became World Class Track Meet (same game, different title screen and slightly different label).
There was one other Family Fun Fitness game, Athletic World. It was re released under it's original title with the Power Pad with no other changes beyond the label. I think the "Family Fun Fitness" wording on that cartridge is rare as well, but it's not as rare or desirable as Stadium Events is.
The big thing is that this is the "last game" many people need to complete a full collection of all licensed NES cartridges. As such, it commands a lot of money.
VGA = Video Game Authority. It's an outfit that grades video games and seals them in plastic boxes, just like those coin, baseball card and comic book grading services. The "VGA 75" in the title is stating the grade it got from the grading service.
Nothing says obsession like encasing something in a lucite case.
Quick, someone start AGA, and start making really, really big plastic boxes.
You're welcome. The sad part is that I know all this junk...
Yes, I collect NES cartridges. No, I'm not crazy like those other people, I collect them because it's fun. That's why I specifically only collect loose cartridges. Too many crazy people paying lots of money for 20 year old cardboard and cellophane.
