Is there a standalone Pokey tester available?

I recall previous discussion on testing Pokey's. I thought sure I read someone had come up with a standalone tester. But now when I search KLOV archives, I find an Atari 7800 Pokey tester. Didn't someone create a standalone tester? I don't think it was made for public sale, but still interested if anyone recalls this.

No.

The 7800 tester is the best thing out there. (I've been wanting to put one together myself, just to test Pokeys.)

But in lieu of that, I just test them in other boards. That may not tell you if every feature is working, as there is a lot of stuff in a Pokey, and not all games (and positions, in games that use more than one) use all of the features. So it's possible to have a partly-failed Pokey that might still be ok to use in another game, or another position. And with the price and scarcity of Pokeys becoming what it is, that might not be a bad thing to start considering, rather than tossing them outright.
