Namco responded and there isn't anything wrong. I set the volume to 3 and it seems ok. I think having the analog POT in the coin door and on the board is better than this all digital version, much easier to fine tune. Will be interesting to hear from someone else regarding this issue. I noticed that the serial number on the back of the unit has SE (assume it means special edition).

This is my first arcade and am very happy with it. Put a Mike's Arcade double jamma board and added a 60 in 1 arcade board in there. Love being able to switch between the two by simply pressing the two start buttons at the same time.

Was trying to figure out who made the tube inside. It is a neotec monitor NT-s501. Older versions of the 25th anniversary arcade have a neotec with a samsung tube. Hope it lasts a long time or at the very least is repairable if anything should ever go wrong. Last chance to get a new CRT - absolutely hate LCD (yes I am an arcade purist)
