Is there a solid state replacement for laser disc game players?

Just curious as I don't own any laser disc games, but I was wondering if someone has come up with a solid state replacement yet for the discs and players for like Dragon's Lair, Space Ace etc? I can imagine that the hardware for that genre of games must be getting more and more difficult to keep running, and I'm sure good working players are getting tougher to come by since it's an obsolete media.

someone is working on this. I believe it is the same team or person who developed Daphne. They spoke about it at CAX and the hope is to support many laser disc games including some very rare ones.

Yes, you can keep up with the progress over on the Dragon's Lair project and at Matt Ownby's site.
