Bought a red tent the other week, and curious what prices look like on Vs games. Not a whole lot of data searching back through KLOV sales, and VAG doesn't have a section that I saw.

Well playchoice and VS are entirely different. Only exception is if you have a playchoice kit in your redtent.
There is a playchoice trade/collectors FB group that has a rough price guide in the featured section.
VS doesn't have one.
I guess a rough estimate would be
$150-170 for a blank pcb
$100-170 for a chipset with PPU
$180-500 for daughtercards.
All depends on what you are looking for.
I offer some stuff on my site PC-10.com under the 2 VS tabs for your redtent.
Johns website http://www.johnsarcade.com/nintendo_vs_ppu_info.php has good information on The VS.

I'm aware they're entirely different.

I've seen the offerings on your site, and it's unfortunate that games end up in odd groupings an because of course there's no grouping that contains all the games I'd prefer, ha. I understand why they're bundled as they are with the ppu differences and all.

In all honesty that's likely the route I'll take, just need to make a hard choice over what games to not get, ha.

Still curious as to what games run how much for originals.

enough aren't sold, especially lately to have move than the rough estimates from above. If you pick specific games, someone could get a little closer idea of what to tell you. Alot of the games you never see, so you are piecing them together and paying piece prices for them. An example would be wrecking crew. So start with a blank PcB ($170), add 2 cpus ($35 each) 2 PPU's say $100-125 each, and then a chipset (from me $60). Or like an original dr mario daughtercard, plan on paying about $250 ect….

Sheesh, what a mess Vs system is. Not really interested in burning roms and hunting down specific PPUs for different games and after-market daughtercards. All that headache just to play NES games (I know they're not 1:1 with the NES games, but the differences are largely slight). It's all fine, just not for me.

I'm just going to sell the Vs setup and do something more sensible (and 200% reversible, I won't be hacking anything up) with the red tent.

Thank you both for your help @CharlieG and @joe3693 . I AM surprised that there aren't many sales though.

Vs Stuff is scarce these days. Most people keep what they have.

That's entirely fair. Not a market I'm familiar with, I assumed there were a ton of them out there and didn't realize. I know NSS stuff isn't common, nor are either of the Sega versions of PC10 stuff (Megaplay? Some other one?). But was not aware Vs stuff isn't common.

Some Vs. games realy stand out compared to Playhoice 10 stuff.

Excitebike comes to mind. High scores and overall presentation is much more arcade-like in Vs.

I saw how Balloon Fight differs from the NES version and that's probably the biggest difference I've seen.

Will bump this a little to ask about Excitebike and TKO Boxing. Thanks to @joe3693 I've got an idea what the rest of the board runs.
