The tubes which make up the bar on my ICB have worn indentations near the ends where the ball must have worn away at the bars over time.

Does someone already sell these parts? If not, I think I could probably source the replacement parts if there is a need.

Shawn is selling used spare parts he has. I am thinking that having new parts would be nice.

I've found materials which match the dimensions of the current bars. However, I think the metals are slightly off.

I might just go for it and see if I can make a working replacement.

At one point, I had several machines, and couldn't figure out why the game play one one was off.

I eventually found that one of the bars was very slightly bent, and it impacted game play. New bars might be a good idea.

I'd be in for 1 or 2 sets with the proper chrome finish. What are your plans for the end pieces with rivits?

Finish would be a detail for later on. Are both bars plated? My inner bar seems to just be polished brass. The outer one is chrome plated.

For the rivets I was going to look for screw rivets which were close in size.

The set I offered to cyberkni looks to be an aluminum shaft and a brass shaft.
It's the original set from a playfield that someone parted out.

Depending on price and how good of a match for original they are I would expect these to be a big seller. I'm sure there are many imperfect bars out there and it is so critical to game play.

Somewhat related, has anyone tried flipping the bars over?

It should be possible to pull out the bumper post and move it to the other side. For me this would get me a nice undamaged side of the bar for the ball to roll on. All it would take is two rivets.

If I do make this, the final product will be the 2 bar sections drilled and polished. You would still need to move the bumpers over and attach them to the sliders. Sourcing and forming all of those bits would make this way too involved for me.

Yes, I tried flipping the bar over. I think the problem with that was the orientation (angle) of the stops was wrong.

if you can make them match identical i would be in for a set or two.
