Is there a list of the brands/types of joysticks in every arcade game?

I know that arcade-museum.com has a ton of great information on conversion class, controls and monitor orientation... but I'm looking for one more level of clarity and information.

For example, Zookeeper uses a 4 way joystick and 1 button, but WHICH joystick? I want to know that it's the wico skinny, short joystick and is it with leaf switches or micro switches? And which kind of button? And what color joysticks and buttons?

I'd love it all in one place (arcade-museum.com) and have it filterable (show me all the short skinny joystick games), but maybe it's already on another site. Please let me know!

There isn't a list written anywhere that I'm aware of. Many times (but not always), there is info in the manual. Sometimes there is some info in VAPS. And sometimes you need to infer from multiple pieces of reference material, including KLOV posts, vendor docs, and even flyers.

But if you hit a dead end for a given game, your best bet is to ask here. I have put a lot of effort into researching the correct sticks for games, and am happy to share what I know, for the games I know. And the same is true with most other folks here, as stick info is not always easy to track down.

ZK actually uses an 8-way short skinny Wico, not a 4-way. (Frogger and Pengo use 4-ways, but they are tall skinny, and Qix uses a short skinny 4-way.) See here for a past ZK stick I've sold:

(For more, search thread titles for my name and 'skinny', to see all of the various different ones I've sold.)

Google.com
Atari gauntlet manual
Loads in a few sec
Scroll down

For most, you get a detailed diagram of the joystick, etc.

Yep, I know that you can see the info in each manual, but I'd love to see it aggregated and don't know of a site that does it yet.

And thanks Andy for the ZK correction! I didn't look it up and was just guessing that it was 4-way.

In the age of building multigames, it would be cool to build multi-games that all used the same joysticks.
