Is there a collector market for old arcade tokens?

I recently bought about 2400 nice tokens for $60 from a guy right here in Hillsboro, but I think that was a pretty smokin' deal.

darn, if they were .900's i might make you an offer.

definitely more than scrap price. a single style, especially if it's arcade-related, will be worth more than a mix generally.

Noice has .984's Yogi's/Gusto's (two arcades mixed) for $20 per 500 plus shipping just to give yourself an idea of what they might sell for. i couldn't tell you how many .984's come in a pound but if you've got yourself a good kitchen scale you could get pretty close and estimate how many you have total based upon total weight.

They're worth about 25 cents if you can find an arcade that still uses tokens that size....;)

Ha ha thats funny. I went to that place as a kid. these came from the Grants Pass area and there is more where that bag came from :)

They were a chain of arcades. I think I still have a handfull in a bag of tokens I found in the bottom of box last year. I am pretty sure I got those in an arcade in Chicago somewhere.

I collect tokens. Mainly for nostalgia though. Basically places I've been. I've considered collecting arcade tokens that simply have cool designs but so far havent went that route yet. I've come across a few tokens that could be worth $5-20 each to some collectors but those would be somewhat rare. If you have as many as you do I would think you'd fetch the most cash selling them all as others have suggested. When I've bought single tokens off ebay I usually pay about $2.50-$3 each shipped. But those would be sort of uncommon tokens.
