Is the market really this bad?

Ah so you picked that up Keith. Good it went to a good place. I have a buddy in town that was looking at that exact one. If you end up selling one of yours let me know, I'll let him know and he can come out and look at it, he wants a Ms. Pac for sentimental reasons.

Wish I'd have known it was that easy of a fix :p. I told him to pass on it, as I figured he'd have to spend around 250 on new parts to get it up to snuff, and that was out of his price range :(.

Well, its not 100% "yet", but it is playable. Just need to sober her up. I'm debating on switching out the monitor with another one. I've already started switching cabs since this one is "ever so slightly" better than mine. Other debate is which connector to go with (eyelet or crimp). But in any case, it will be good to go when I'm done with it.

BTW, I also picked up that Nintendo cab with a working 20EZ. It's an orange plywood cab in the middle of restoration, so Ill be fixing it up and putting Jr. in it. So glad I didnt put my freebie side art on my particle Jr. yet :D

Come check the Dallas CL, where you can find deals like a Ms. Pac/Galaga Reunion cab for a mere $1,750, or a cruddy looking Ms. Pac for $750.

I honestly dont think so. I believe it really depends on where you live. Also I think lots of people (collectors in general) are just being more selective of what they pick up these days since the majority of us a slammed with games/projects. That Ms Pacman would not last a day over here.

I agree that machine would not last a hour in my town at that price, or double that price. Collectors in my area are getting more selective.. Trades work well for games that dont sell. Everyone is looking for pacs and kongs around here. If I try to sell a Golden Axe or something similar even cheap it takes awhile, so sometimes I try to trade for things I would have to buy anyway. Firewood ect.....

So yeas the market is slow, but not stalled... I can still sell or trade. The overpriced machine do not sell. Have a guy that has listed a Defender for over a year and a half, he just keeps listing over and over for $750. I have sold 4 Defenders in that time for around $400 each....

I think it's just the market. I have talked to over 2000 people on these forums about my project games that I have for sale on the forums. And I only had 3 people ask me about the 6 Ms. Pacs, I had listed.

If it were local to me I would grab it in a heartbeat for 100 bucks. MsPacs are easy to fix up and flip.
You might have a problem with the vram card. Check the socket on it first.

well im sad and relieved at the same time. Im in the rockford area, i guess we went to krap before alot of the rest of the country. I see alot of folks catching up to us unfortinately. YES, the market for several hundred dollar items is drying up. I was buying fixing and reselling flat screen tvs, that has dried up too. Folks are more worried about the mortgage vs a new toy..

hmm i dunno.. hell mabye i should change it to something "racist" since nobody can read it lol

The Ms Pac may be sitting there because the guy is an asshole, not really selling it for $100, or the game is full of rats, or AIDS - who knows.

Great googely mooley! Now you can get AIDS from these old games! :001_ssuprised:

I know around here common games will sit forever. Collectors already have one and with no basements or good space to store unless you build a dedicated game room. The only real flipping around here is in pins.

nice grab and for $100.00 you cant beat that, and yes I see it everyday, everbody is scaling back on the toys I have towed alot of people over this last year that have either been out of work for more than 6 months or have just lost there job.
