This broken but complete $100 Ms. Pac-Man sat on CL for 10+ days, photos and all. I know the market's drying up but comon, really? I already own one of these but I just got tired of it teasing me on CL every day.

Anyway, got it home and was greeted to the screen you see below. Reseated chips, cleaned dirty legs and she seems to be working fine now. She is still "drunk" so she'll get the typical edge connector and fuse block replacements.

Only real downfall, aside from the paint covered carving on the RH side, is the monitor burn. It's got a good picture otherwise, the G07 looks like it's got fresh caps and a new flyback too. It's missing the smoked plexi but I have a spare that should hide the burn fairly well, if not I have other tubes with mild burn I can toss in there.

Hmmm.... my cabinet on the left, CL find on the right, think I should do a cabinet swap? This one's not as faded as mine, but it has other imperfections. What would KLOV do?

Fix them both and Sell one and buy more games. Smiles.

Mine's shopped out for the most part, aside from the cabinet and what not. The other one will get flipped or even traded if I can get what I have my eyes on now.

As long as theres no more garbage showing, an edge connector and fuse block should be all this one needs aside from some touch-up work.

Nice pickup! :beerchug:

I don't mind the "market" being down since like Adamdiz said... it's good for those of us who just like picking up games and having them in our basement. I'm definitely not counting on my "investments" down there for anything other than fun. :)

You mean to say that "Push to start" text isn't normal? :) Another good Ms. Pac pickup. Not sure which cabinet I wouold go with. Having the room, I would probably keep the second one and toss my Jr. Pac board in there or install Pac Plus or maybe even a 96-in-1 but that's me.

I offered $125 for it, so I know you paid more than that. How much did you pay?

That's a great deal but yes everything sucks for sellers right now. I can't sell my asteroids deluxe for $245. Finally got my dk junior sold for $280. Definately don't want to sell anything unless you have to right now. The sad thing is you can make more parting unfortunately.

Wow...

Anything close to that cheap gets hoovered up in a split second in the Dallas area.

I really hope it doesn't come to that. I told my wife its worth at least that much money in parts and, in any case, could at the very least double my money with relative ease. After a week of seeing it go nowhere, I'm guessing the fact that it wasn't working scared anyone else away.

So you have the AD on CL eh? Wonder if I can squeeze that one in somehow. Maybe if I still have this one come auction time we can discuss a trade if theres any interest.

Cool score. Keep it for a Ms Pac tournament or something. Or, just throw it on Craigslist around Christmas time for $500, and point to several Ebay links showing its worth $1500 on Ebay. Make it work for you, Christmas time is the market!

Agreed the market is this bad. There is a working Atari Hydra that has been on Craigslist for over a month for $25.

So why haven't you bought it?

Market is regional and subjective. The Ms Pac may be sitting there because the guy is an asshole, not really selling it for $100, or the game is full of rats, or AIDS - who knows. $100 Ms Pac would last about 1 minute in this area.

I honestly dont think so. I believe it really depends on where you live. Also I think lots of people (collectors in general) are just being more selective of what they pick up these days since the majority of us a slammed with games/projects. That Ms Pacman would not last a day over here.

Send the AD boards to road runner here and he'll fix them right up.
