I've noticed a few Tapper's for sale lately and just wanted to know if this game is any fun? How's the replay value as well? I never played it in the arcade.

If I were you I would try it on MAME first and try it out since they are pretty expensive. They have it on XBOX live arcade too if you have one.

Personally I don't really care for it too much, but I'm not very good at it. If I saw one at an arcade I would play a game, but wouldn't own one. That's just me of course.

It's all just a matter of taste....I personally like Tapper. I think it is one of the better games out there. The game has to grow on you, and once you can figure out how to keep up the pace with the customers, it becomes even more hectic! The game itself is good, and the cabinet is freakin awesome too. The beer taps on the control panel is cool, and the machine sports the foot rest and cup holders.

game is great, ton of replay value, people love it, dont judge by MAME, the original cab with tappers and bar rail is essential to the experience!!! if i could have just three games they would probably be ms pac man, tapper, and paperboy.

Crimson, watch the video and decide for yourself. Jump to 5:58 on the timeline to get to the gameplay.

And here's Root Beer Tapper on the N64 so you can see when you get sprayed in the face with a can. Not a bad arcade port.

Tapper is a top game in my little 'cade. It will never leave. One of my wife's favorites too.

I liked tapper a LOT when I was a kid. But I played it recently and it was just kind of boring. I'd like to own one for nostalgia purposes but not at the prices they (rightfully) fetch.

One of the key things for Tapper is this, games like Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Frogger ect are great games but they are available in HUNDREDS of ways. Classic consoles, modern consoles. Handhelds, the internet, ect ect. But TAPPER, other than MAME emulation can only be played in it's original arcade form. It's never been on any console in it's original fomw complete with Budweiser licencing. ROOT BEER TAPPER has been available in other forms. But never the original TAPPER!!!

Actually, it should be common knowledge around here that Donkey Kong is NOT available in it's original form on ANY console (maybe the DK64 unlockable is correct, but I'm too lazy to Goog it and I don't recall). They all omit the pie factory level or change the girder number and/or direction. Most famously the 3-level NES version :( But I digress...

Tapper is a great game and I would love to own it in any style (yes, I even love the cocktails...too bad there was never a cabaret).

It took me a while to find one until a KLOVer helped me out. I think it's a great game, but I think it's one that people either love or hate. I love the cabinet since I can have a couple beers on it at a time. The only thing I don't like is that I am not getting any better at it.
