is selling a original Gameboy with Tetris for $30 a good price?

ever since that I mentioned that I fixed the missing dot matrix screen on 2 gameboys (on our facebook page), I've had customers interested in purchasing one.

yes, I'm as shocked as you are.

So I bought a couple for $3-5 each. A replacement screen costs around $5 (if needed). Tetris Cartridge runs about $5 on ebay.

now all cleaned, repaired, and packaged up (white box with item label sticker, cheap batteries and tetris), is $30 too much to sell it instore?

If it were me, the only reason I'd pay $30 for a Gameboy it would need to have the AC Adaptor at least. Maybe you could sell it for $40 if it included that and a backlit display.

I would say a good price for the seller.

Original Game Boy are everywhere. I've had several and I had trouble even giving one away. Granted, it was missing the LCD cover, but as you said... $5 on eBay, so that would have been a $5 game boy for someone.

Depends on the condition. I bought my original gameboy for $15 shipped in 2009 with the battery cover, the often lost & great condition screen, and a generic AC adapter. No games though, and thankfully it didn't suffer from the missing vertical lines syndrome. If they are nice with no stains then I'd expect $20 shipped nowadays. If like you described with Tetris, working all the way, $25 easy.
