Does anyone know if a Rampage board is swappable with a Arch Rivals board? Im trying to put an Arch Rivals main board in my Rampage cabinet. I get an image, but it rolls and its not an active screen. Looks like garbage rolling. Not sure if the board was working before, as it was givin to me, but I do know the Rampage works. Anyone know?

As far as the wiring goes I'm not really sure. The cabinets though are different sizes. A rampage CP is like 2 inches wider than the Arch Rivals so you wouldn't be able to get a rampage CP to fit without serious modification.

You've got a JAMMA cabinet right? First use the adapter and see if the PCB works in the best possible situation.

The pinout that I found for Rampage (here) says separate H/V sync. I can't find much about Arch Rivals but what I did find suggests composite sync (might only be with the JAMMA adapter?). It's possible you're dealing with a cabinet and monitor wired for separate sync and trying to swap a board that generates composite sync. I wouldn't expect that to be a problem... but maybe?

Minus different joysticks (Arch Rivals was 49-way), it should work. Just checked crazykong.com and they but have standard Jamma pinouts (assuming you're talking about Rampage World Tour). If one works, the other should as well. The only difference I could think of is MAYBE Arch Rivals requires -5V and Rampage doesn't? And maybe you don't have a -5V line on your harness?

No idea, if everything is connected and checks out there, then you might just have a bum board. :(

If you're talking about old school Rampage and Arch Rivals, they seem to have a different pinout (as stated above); and could require some tweaking to the sync lines?

Scucci, actually oldschool Rampage and Arch Rivals are in the same Midway Mono conversion class: http://www.arcade-museum.com/pinouts-class/Midway_Mono_Board.html

At least with Arch Rivals, the kits came with an adapter board that convert all the Midway Mono wires to a JAMMA edge connector. There are a handful of things online about it and they're all talking about it from the JAMMA perspective, not the goofy wiring.
