Is Pinbot a decent pinball machine

im pretty sure the 300 dollar f14 wont be around long, there are several pin collectors in texas who would jump on it if they knew about it.......cant say more.....

The F-14 from what it says needs work and has some water damage. I would rather buy a pin locally so I can go see it before I buy it, for its condition and gmae play but like it was said earlier finding a decent pin here is western canada isn't to easy.

Oh i must have missed where it said it was in Texas. Shipping from Texas to Western Canada would kill that deal imo. Much more worth it to buy the shopped one for $1200.

I used to love Pinbot when I was a kid. Must have spent a few hundred dollars on that machine. Used to play it on the way home from school. Has the best music IMO. I want one in my game room just to have the sounds in the background. ;)
It side drains a lot but not near as much as the Wii version. Have to play with the slope settings to keep the ball from draining into the left outlane from the pop bumpers.
Haven't played the others but I hear F14 is FAST but the ruleset isn't very deep. But then again, neither is Pinbot's. That being said, it is difficult to get to the Sun in Pinbot.

Ya I saw that demo man over by Van, great price if it's nice. Also a MUCH better game than Pinbot for sure. Alot more going on, whereas Pinbot doesn't have alot of things to do.

Go get it :) If it was closer I would have tried to get it myself..

I am having no luck getting hold of the seller, I figure someone else jumped on it before I could, but hopefully not. I was maybe thnking of going to see pinbot tonight until I came across the demo man. Looks like a neat game. Not sure what to do now, if demo man is gone should I go check out and possibly buy the pinbot or hold off and see if something else comes up.

I came across a demolition man pinball and am trying to get a hold of the seller, is it better than pinbot?

i think that is largely debate able, i havent played it, but it is a dmd and SHOULD have a deeper ruleset

if you like it, and its not in shitty condition, AND the price is good......go for it

if i saw a demo man, working, and in decent shape for sub 1200 i would probably buy it

but that just me, now let me say this(looks for tom) pinbot is a classic, and for its time was great, but the newer games have deeper rulesets(replay value)

i can play pinbot for 15 mins or so at a time, a deeper game with dmd ill play for an hour or so usually (if i like the theme)

THATS A GREAT PRICE if its not trashed

I haven't heard back from the demo man seller so I think I am out of luck. He said in his add it was in good conditon and was asking $900, $100 cheaper than the pinbot. I am wonderng if I should just wait for something else to come around if the demo man is gone and not bother with pinbot. What do you think?

If you always wait for a better deal then you might not ever get a pin. GREAT deals come around but not too often. You should really find someone with a Wii, PS2, PS3 or Xbox 360 and spend the $20 on the Williams Collection Game. Play Pinbot on there and see if you like it or not.

This is one pin I've tried to like. It just doesn't have the pizazz that the later pins have. I'm not a DMD snob at all so that's not an influence either. I've seen darn nice examples popup for ~$800 here. I highly suggest you at least try it on a console first. If you like it there you'll like it even more on the real machine.

My Father is a Pin guy and he had one for about 10 years, but has since sold it. It's a very fun game he also had HighSpeed and they were about the same. One was not really more popular than the other in his game room. One thing was that Pinbot broke down a lot, it seemed the display was always going.

system 11 games are worth 900 to 1100 bucks IMO
at least around here and depending on condition

thousand bucks seems fair, especially if its nice
