Came across a pinbot pinball and from what I have read it sounds like a good pinball machine. Just wondering if any KLOV members out there have it or have played it and can pass on there opinion on it. Also is $1000 a good deal for it? Also just wondering has anyone played Jokerz pinball and is it decent or is pinbot a better pin. Cheers!

dyno, my good friend does have it, it is a fun game , and i would definately offer 800

its worth 1000 if the playfield is good shape and plays well

jokerz is also a system 11 game a bit newer than pinbot, has nice artwork, its fun too

as i said before if you can get it for 500 and shipped to you , total about 800 id go for jokerz 1st

either game would be a good starter

Hi dc2010 I appreciate your input :) The buy selling pinbot won't budget on $1000, he says it is all refurbished and in great shape. As for the link to the Jokerz pin, I e-mailed the seller but haven't heard back from them so I am thinking they aren't interested in shipping it. I could buy one on ebay then have it shipped by NAVL to a place in washington state then drive across the line and pick it up, I have done that in the past when I bought my APB and Baby Pacman. Thanks again for your input, it is sure nice to be able to throw out a question and get opnions from others who are more in the know.:)

Non DMD pinballs seem to be getting cheaper by the day. $1000 is not crazy overpriced for a PINBOT but with todays market, it's on the higher side. Saw one go local here (MN) for $500 recently and it was in pretty nice (un restored) condition. As mentioned, If you can pull it for $700-$800 that would be better, but if he put a ton of work into it, you might insult the man, it's hard to say without actually seeing it but just be cautious and polite and maybe he will swing you a deal. When I am selling I usually do that for people who are nice but if they come in with a bad attitude and start rudely lowballing me, basically telling me my game is crap I tell them to go F themselves. Hope that helps!

i recently saw a jokerz on ebay for i wanna say 695.00 , also a gameshow too about 600 hundred as well ill so a quick search to see if antthing interesting pops up for you...........................................

Thanks for the link to those pins, they are very nice but out of my price range. I came across a F14 tomcat pin which needs some work but I might be able to get it for $300 plus shipping. Is it a decent pin?

Yep and he does REAL shop jobs too, he is VERY meticulous. Machine will be totally working, super clean, with ZERO issues. He's a great guy as well. Tell him Tom from Kamloops sent you if you deal with him :)

PinBot is one of my favorite machines, so my review might seem a little bias. It is one of the most creative concepts for a pinball machine ever and introduced some never before seen playfield gadgets. It's one of the first game to really have "toys" that animate and interact with the ball. It was also one of the first games to have a complete music soundtrack with different tracks for different times of the game (Road Kings did this first, while High Speed introduced music initially). It is considered a classic and was a very successful game for Williams.

I'd say $800 to $1000 is a fair range for this game based on condition. F-14 is also a great game, but I'd say $1200 is a little on the high end (not too bad, but I got mine for 1K recently shopped). Good luck!

Price is HUGELY influenced by where you live. There are VERY slim pickings up here in Western Canada, so the prices are generally higher, unless you luck into a deal, or are willing to drive down to the states...

I totally agree with tomdotcom, there are very slim pickings up here on pins. I know dc2010 said he would buy a jokerz over a pinbot, anyone else have an opninion on those two pins? I think jokerz looks cool, but so does pinbot.

Pinbot blows jokerz out of the water...no contest..

Pinbot has awesome lighting, and sounds, and is a classic. Jokerz is ugly IMO and has a crappy symetrical layout, and did I mention it's ugly? haha

I just watched a few pinball videos on youtube, jokerz, pinbot, truck stop and f 14 tomcat and they all seem like cool pins. After watching the videos I am leaning towards pinbot over jokerz, not only does it look more fun but the sounds and the robot voice remind me of the Cylon robots from the old tv show I use to watch Battle Star Galactica. If I could get it for $800 I would pick it up today but $1000 is more than I really want to spend. I imagine pinbot does hold its value if I wanted to sell it down the road. I just need to sell a few of my arcade games which would help with the cost.

i like jokerz over pinbot only for theme , let me point that out, as said before pinbot is a good starter pin, a system 11

in the end, its what you decide not any of us, f 14 tomcat is a cool pin , btw

to get a shopped goodworking pin will cost you a min 800 anywhere,

i think the fully shopped pin tom is suggesting may very well be the way to go!

thanks for bashing me tom;)

Hey I'm not bashing you at all, I just don't like the jokerz game. I think it sucks, but everyone likes different things, it's no big thing. I love fishtales, lots of people despise it, etcetc :)

I love my Bram Stoker's Dracula way more than I ever liked my Addam's Family too...some people think BSD sucks...

I also think a fully working pin is the best way to go for your first one, otherwise you'll spend forever fixing, instead of playing. I like to tinker and fix just as much as the next guy, but I also love to actually PLAY my games. And if your new to it, it could take you forever to restore a pin...

If you have a Wii I would recommend you buy Williams Pinball Collection because it has Pinbot on it and is a great chance to "try before you buy". Having said that I have heard the side drains are less forgiving in the Wii game than on real hardware. It's still a great simulation though, tons of fun.

I totally agree with this. I bought Pinbot because of that game, and I will get Taxi somewhere down the road because of that game. It is also the reason a friend of mine bought a Gorgar, so it's definitely worth picking that game up for $20.

I have never played Jokerz so I can not comment on that, but I did used to own F-14 and it was a great game. The only reason I don't still have it is because I needed some down payment cash for my new house. I would think about picking up the Pinbot first, but when you are ready for your next game i think either of the shopped F14 for $1200 or the project for $300 is a decent deal. If there is shipping involved on the project, but not on the shopped one save up for the shopped one for sure.
