I puchased a Rough Ranger in a Dynamo cab to convert to 1943. What I liked most was the monitor was superb.

I got my 1943, Pulled the monitor which was handily mounted to a board so it was easy to flip.

Turned it on and I half of my ocean is purple. I cannot seem to find the right adjustment to get it out.

Is it me or did something happen or was it always there but not noticieable in the other games graphics?

Monitor is a Wells Gardner 19K7691

you're saying the monitor has a purple tint? if so, you're missing the green.

try tapping on the side of the cab, does the color temporarily come back at all?

The monitor needs to be degaussed (sp?). Just let it cool off for about 10-15 minutes and power it back up again.

I had an op give me the coolest degaussing trick I hav ever seen. I used a corded drill; plugged it in an held it as close to the screen as I could get it and pulled the trigger. on and off for about a minute. Worked like a charm!

Works for minor issues, but I've never had success with it for major issues...

Same thing can be done with those big 60 watt or better soldering guns too. But as Mod said, it doesnt work to get rid of large problem spots.

I used a really BIG drill! The kind that has a large handle on the side and a 3/4 chuck. It worked to clear half the screen up!!
